June Buck of the Month - Buck 843 Sprint Ops

This exclusive Buck 843 Sprint Ops features a Steel Grey Cerakoted, MagnaCut steel, reverse tanto blade. The handle is made of Blue Denim Micarta. A Steel Grey Cerakoted spacer and bronze PVD-coated fasteners decorate the handle. It is complete with a bead-blasted, removable, deep carry pocket clip. The June 2025 Buck of the Month is handcrafted at the Buck factory in Post Falls, Idaho, and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. Only 500 were made. Price is $225.

I'm not a fan of liner locks or flippers, but I've always been drawn to the lines of the 843. I really like the looks of this version.

I think I'll pass on this though... Not a great time for a $225 impulse buy.

I have a 2XL hand and find it OK, maybe because my 840 came as a freebie with something else makes me like it more
I love the looks more than my green Nylon 840 but hard to spend the $$$ for an appearance upgrade.

My 2022 842 Sprint Ops Pro limited w/ s45vn blade is essentially the same knife, and that retailed for $350.
I paid less on later year sale.

It's a nice knife, however the liner lock is proud of the handle and that knife WILL unlock if you hold it tightly during use.

My other sprints don't seem to do that however I do recall other people claiming that particular knife did that to them as well.
Because the similarities are so great, I wonder if this knife has that issue as well.




You can see the liner as it extends below the handle.

I like the knife, but don't use it as I don't trust it.

And that's alot of money to spend on a knife you don't trust.

I've never regretted the ones I did buy...you can always sell it later. I've definitely regretted some I didn't buy while on my own self imposed pauses.
