before ordering it, I called and spoke to Terry (TJT) to confirm the steel as S-60V. I own a lot of knives, and I was surprised to see a knife company offering a production fixed blade in S-60V for under $200. When you can get a production knife in CPM steel, it's almost always S-30v. From what i understand, S-60V (previously CPM-440V) is several steps above S-30V in edge holding and still possesses adequate toughness. I'm looking forward to getting this one!
By the way, cheers to TJT for the courtesy and professionalism he extended to me during our phone call. It's really nice to be able to call a manufacturer and get lots of accurate, good quality info.
