Hi Guys,

Its been a while, so I decided to pop in here and say howdy. Looks like a lot of the old timers are still around, and thats good! I been thinking about making knives again, but with this economy and the fact I am still not out of the woods from the bike crash I had last year, it'll be a while. I don't have the upper body strength I had before, and my whole left side shoulder and ribs were smashed in the accident. I have free range of movement, and there is no pain, however, rubbing on blades is out of the question. If I do get back into knifemaking, it'll have to be in a completely-different way, one which does not require the strenuous stuff.

Anyhow, its good to see you guys, and great to see Ray is still cranking out the work. Hey Ray, are you still forging in your sandals? HAHA! :D

Hey Higgy! Good to hear from you ! I'm still using your tapping thingy almost daily, good piece of equipment.
Sorry about that crash, to be honest I don't guess I knew about it. I had a period of inactivity also.
Take care, and look after your body parts. You don't have to be 100% up to speed with us, but you should know that. Stop in anytime and give us updates, etc.
Rhrocker.

Good to hear from you,Higgy! Keep dropping in here from time to time. Hope your return to full health continues.

Higgggggy ! :D So happy to hear you're doing ok  Dayum, believe it or not I was just thinking about you the other day. You really should check in more often. You're missed brother !

Good to hear from you. Knives or not, drop in more often. Glad to hear you're still kickn' even though not quite as high. :D

Sooner or later, you will figure out a way to make some blades.

Mike

Sure is good to see your mug back on here, Higgy! Some of us don't get here often as we should, are busy.I hope you finish healing quickly and get back into the work, even if it's stock removal.

Higgy, Sorry to hear about bike wreck. There was a time when I saw myself riding on one but I did mention it to my dad first. He told me if I wanted to become an old fart when I grew up to stick with woman and not to mess with bikes. We'll here I am a real live old fart with the same wife 37 years later. Hope the healing continues and your able to gain back what you once had.

As for your question about forging with sandals on. Old habits die hard. Got a pretty nice burn about healed up on my left foot. Still got all my toes.

Bubba, Bubba, Bubba:jerkit::jerkit:Listen I hope you come down here before I move to AZ.:D
Just don't wheel in IG's driveway very fast, you might run over the old geezer rascal, Higgy. Hee hee hee! On second thought, goose the gas and give Mr. Rascal a start.

Glad to see you're still kickin' Higgy!

When you get back into the shop I can pass on some great hand sanding tips. Never takes me more than 30 minutes and there's no strenuous work involved ;)

Heal up!

Hi Higgy,

We haven't met, but based on all the comments guys are making there seem to be some good referrals. I'm visiting my folks in Merrimack, NH. Just got back From IG's last night. Had a blast over there and even learned a bunch of stuffs. I might need some help with a tip or two or three completing a few blades. Where are you at in NH?

All the best, Phil

Hello Higgy, glad you found your way back to us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope you continue to heal up fast and get strong and back into the grind!!!!!!!
