As you know I am a collector of sorts. All sorts. I joined Instagram a couple of months ago just to post knives. Then I got an itch for Knucks.

The above is his business contact.
He accepts payment through his girlfriend's email: brittdazzle@yahoo.com

Out of the Blue, 11 weeks ago, I was contacted by him. He wanted to offer me a set of knucks. I obliged and said ok, but I'd be willing to pay. He never sent it, but 3 weeks later, I saw something else that he made and I wanted another item.

I promptly paid him. He said that I had to pay through brittdazzle@yahoo.com because he had gotten into trouble for a raffle. I thought nothing of it, but it should have been a red flag.

3 weeks passed. Still nothing received. Did it get lost? He responded no, but in the mean time he kept promising it would go out "this week". At this point I was in $50 and nothing, but he had posts about having the flu. I get a message saying that he realized that he sent my order to someone else.

I figured it was an "honest" mistake so I took him at his word. Another item came up. A flame colored Knuck in red. I said, well since you're well, can you go ahead and send me the new Knuck, and the other two we had pending.

4 weeks ago, I received a package. It had only two knucks. Not 3. I have since contacted him by PM and texting without much response. Needless to say, I'm out for the 3rd item.

I filed a claim through PayPal. No response from him. He claimed that he sent me the items that I paid for and that the item he was pending was what he was donating to me. That is incorrect.

Needless to say, it is not worth the trouble or my time to chase down $40. It's a matter of principle that I write this. Keep the money, Chump. I hope to prevent any other poor person from getting swindled by you, justbrian88 or Brian Retcher of BDR gear / BDRgear, or whatever his real "company" name is.

I have copies of all texts and DMs with this joker, Brian Retcher, JustBrian88, sent me. I'd be happy to share them with you, if you wish.

Speaking to others on IG and from other forums, this character has had "transactions" of collecting money and not sending anything. Some people do receive items but there is a negative pattern here.

This guy is bad news. It's best to stay the heck away. Stay away from Brian Retcher, Justbrian88 @justbrian88

It's almost like Instagram has become a haven for people that have little to no integrity when dealing. It doesn't appear that they face any consequences for this kind of behavior. Who would have ever thunk it, huh? You might want to report it to the people in IG, let them know he is selling illegal items, knuckles are illegal all voer the place unless they are sold for "novelty" purposes.

IG is full of some of the strangest strategies to sell knives. They run raffles that you have to gift them the payment and they will specifically state you cant put that in subject line. Really .. OK dude..I am going to gift a total stranger $40 bucks and expect you to run a legit auction all the while you have your back slapping buddies in on this auction too.
Ya Right.

Then you got guys like the OP getting burned for what amounts to chump change ..Really are you so hard up you have to burn a guy for his hard earned money ??? $50 Bucks ... Such a joke

I use IG a everyday. Its a great place for its intended purposes , But there is a whole sub culture on there that Buy and sell and I am sure there are some legit sales . Go to #knifesale and see how many posts are for blades for sale . They are not even posting prices .... They all say DM for price .. Well I don't want to DM you for a price... What's the price fool ??

I wouldn't buy a thing based on that being my only form of contact for said individual . You want to buy online at least a forum reputations have to be earned and there is some sort of feel for the person your dealing with.

OMG...its a broken record lately
IF it is TOO GOOD TOO BE true
IT NO DOUBT IS...
I do realize..we are all lured in from time too time
BUT...People...
Do your homework
Have some communication and ask for REFERENCES of other buyers etc
BEFORE you send a dime..
This is becoming really an issue with folks lately..
COMMON Sense is A VERY VERY good thing to use in uncertain situations.
REACH out to others you may in know in here to ask questions...
The THIEVES are all over...PROTECT yourself........;)

It took him over 3 months to get me my package. Numerous false tracking numbers, lots of unanswered emails, messages, texts. I will try to find a number I have for him, but I don't know what its to....
