K340 steel

I used both, still do and I made knives from both. K340 is a steel produced using the electro-slag remelting (ESR) process. It has a slightly higher stainless resistance than Sleipner, but other than that they are almost the same. They are both very good at edge retention (I think k340 is slightly better) (sleipner feels more tough). They're definitely better than d2 and don't break on long blades like they do on d2. They have a good toughness. I recommend giving it a chance. I think it is not used much in Us, but very popular steels in Europe, especially in custom knives.
