This is my first post here but I'm a regular over in the traditional forum. I've been looking for a WWII Kabar for a friend and thanks to a lot of you here I found the info I needed. Now, I hope I understood what I've read. Please chime in with any comments. I believe this to be a 1944-45 Kabar USN MK2. All I've done to it is clean the blade with 3 in 1 oil and wipe down the handle with an old t-shirt.IMG_6624-1024x711.JPG IMG_6624-1024x711.JPG IMG_6620-1024x677.JPG IMG_6621-1024x695.JPG IMG_6616-1024x769.JPG IMG_6617-1024x731.JPG IMG_6618-1024x827.JPG IMG_6619-1024x869.JPG IMG_6622-1024x848.JPG IMG_6623-1024x705.JPG IMG_6629-1024x1078.JPG

Did some light hiking while the wife was at a function in NJ. I ended up at Allamuchy Mountain and hiked along the Musconetcong River. I heard a tree fall into the river so I went to check it out. Unfortunately the beaver saw me before I could get a picture. But it did set up a good photo op for my 471-5
