Just noticed Kabar has a little bayonet out now, for pistols with rails.

Cute, but I don't think I need one.:o

Quote from Kabar site:
"LASERLYTE PISTOL BAYONET PB1
This razor-sharp Ka-Bar blade fits any medium to large pistol with a rail and slides on and off easily with the press of two buttons. The blade handle is constructed from 30% glass-filled nylon for strength and durability. Its blade is sharpened to a fine edge and finished with a black Teflon coating for protection. A LaserLyte original, the Pistol Bayonet is ready for any situation - or just looking cool on your favorite gun."

I've got a potato peeler on the rail of my Glock...you never know when you may need one.

i bought one awhile back but it just sits in my pistol safe. i will say this, weapon retention shouldnt be an issue with one mounted:D

I got one a while back as part of a promotional at my local gun shop. Been meaning to break the handle off and make a new one...

I thought this was a joke the first time I saw it. Like the "homie sights" on the side of the pistol.

i never liked any bayonet. if you are facing more than one opponet the 1st one san get stuck rendering your weapon useless.

I think those were introduced some time last year. The idea is sort of amusing but that's about it. Strange that they decided to produce them, I can't very well imagine a pistol bayonet being a big seller.

Since I'm not very up to speed on today's firearms accessories, are the rails on modern pistols of universal design, so that only one type of mold would be needed to produce the mounting system?

Hard h20 you are correct about the british bayonet charge. the brits were running out of ammo & decided on a last ditch effort. it was sucessful since the terroists insurgents are cowards in a stand up fight. unless they can sneak a bomb in they prefer to take pot shots from a safe distance.the history of this conflict is evidence that our troops in a stand up fight put the insurgents on the run everytime.a definitive study of the bayonet used thru the centuries gave a percentage numerical of mortalities as less than one hundreth of one percent inflicted by bayonets.
