Kansas City knife shops?

Hi All,

I'll be in Kansas City the latter part of next week and I was wondering if there were any good cutlery shops I should check out while there.

There really aren't any specific "knife shops" that I know of here. There are a few guns shops in the Kansas side that carry Benchmades at more than retail prices on the internet. Unless someone else has other information, I don't think there is any...at least none where you could view the types of knifes discussed on the forum (discounting Wal-Mart)--Hope you have a nice trip and DON'T PASS UP THE BARBEQUE!--Dan

There is a remington outlet at the GreatMall in Olathe there was a knife store at one time at Banister Mall not sure if it is still there

You're right about the Remington outlet in the Great Plains Mall. I couldn't remember the name of the shaver to refer John to.

If you're actually looking for something to buy or handle, or play with...you can visit the grand parents. They live in North Kansas City, MO and the price is right.

I live out in Olathe, and have yet to find any good source for knives close to me. I heard of a place about 45 min away, can't remember the name, bodeen referred me to them, they carry Microtech, among others. I think that he said he picked up a Halo II there. He would have to chime in for any more info. I've only seen Layton knives at shows here, pretty good prices. Only other knives I've seen are spyderco and benchmade at various gunshops. I second TANGUS, get some BBQ!

The place that BH is refering to is Nick's outfitters.It is located in Pleasant Hill Mo.
They are open 6 days weekly closed Wednesday.
He has a large selection of auto knives.

If you want a good laugh try Oddysee Martial
Arts.It's located at 47th and Blueridge Blvd.

C.R. Specialty has a decent selection of knives also.

Denny's Guns in NKC.

The first 3 that I've mentioned are cutlery specific.The latter two are gunshops.
