What size or model Kant Twist clamps do you guys use the most for full tang knives, with and without bolsters? My wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas and these look really useful but there are so many sizes to choose from. Also, where is the best place to order them from?

thanks

Little 1" ones that I got off ebay. There's a 2" around and a few larger ones (up to 6") but
the little ones get the most use because they're just big enough and don't get in the way
as much as larger ones.

Enco has great prices.

I've paid 2 to 3x that here until I found that.

Forget the plastic handles, you will just melt those sometime.

I like the round handles on the small ones

Be sure to get them in pairs, or quads.

"Maximum Capacity (Inch): "
Should be bigger than whatever you plan to clamp

Like Dan said, I use the small ones - For bigger Iuse C clamps, or a vise, or whatever.

I skip the stainless steel- no need for me and More$$$

I got 4 of the 1" clamps off the flexbar site in the clearance section for $5. That is the best price I have found. I use the 2-1/2" and 1" ones the most (next to the one on my drill press anyhoo, that was a super $25 investment)

Yep, numbers got it. Enco has great prices on the little ones. For gluing up handles though I would recommend paying the extra couple bucks to get the ones with the disc tightener. The last batch I got I saved a few bucks and got the T handle version. When epoxy is dripping and one hand is holding the knife and the other is putting clamps on, the disc handles are SO much easier to operate. Just a suggestion.
