I have been working on a horseman's knife for Blade Show this June and thought I would post a couple of pictures here and a link to traditional sub-forum with more information and pictures. Thanks for looking and any comments more than welcome.

Awesome piece, Ken! The stag works great with this. Your detail to original pattern is to be commended.

That turned out great......must have been a heck of a lot of work.

Great job! The horseman's knife was a wonderful, historical pattern. It's nice to see someone still turning them out. The stag is awesome. Just curious, why is the bolster smaller than the rest of the handle?

Good question! The bolster is shaped like this to allow the hoof-pick to be opened all the way. It then stops and rests on that edge of the bolsters giving it support when used.

Here are a few pictures with hoof-pick open. Of course when using the hoof-pick the corkscrew and or punch would not be open.
