Would anyone recomended the Kershaw blur or I'd it over priced, cheapest in town is 125 bucks

$125 is a little high for a kershaw blur IMO. That’s hitting Spyderco range money :)

The blur is a nice knife. The S30v version is usually less American dollars than what you have stated. I would choose a different vendor. Or if you are in a different country see what the exchange rate is to compare to the dollar price.

Geno- are you in the USA?
if so, it's way overpriced. Depending on which model, they usually go for around $50-75. At $125 you're in a whole different market for quality...

For me the Blur is to Kershaw, what the Endura is to Spyderco. Every knife enthusiast should have at least one. I have the black-washed, purple, blue, and the regular S30v versions. The most expensive (S30v) can usually be had for $80-$85.

You can find the blur in s30v for around 60-70 from time to time. It's a good knife if you don't mind sharpening a recurve and if you don't mind speedsafe.

The big stores sell them for a lot more. But every once in a while there are sales online all over.

I recommend the Blur as a great value knife. I have 2. Look around for less expensive providers though. I paid <$60 for mine.

The Blur is a classic! One of my favorite blades, period.

And there are so many styles to choose from. Tanto, recurve, stonewash, blackwash, tiger stripe, DLC coated, flat grind, hollow grind, partially serrated, etc. Not to mention scale colors and steel choices.

All that being said, the base model is definitely around a $50 knife.

As mentioned above, everybody needs a Blur! This is a classic knife for all kinds of reasons, although it doesn't seem to excel at anything particular. I got mine several years ago when Amazon had the 420hc models on sale for 25 bucks! What a steal that knife turned out to be.

Thin,, easy to carry, and the recurve blade adds a lot of cutting power to a very capable blade. 420hc certainly isn't a premium steel, but it's a dandy for an daily knife for knocking around. As noted they make the knife and a lot of different steels now, so shop around to get the one you want.

i bought 3 base models on amazon july/2017 for $42 each. Great assisted opening mechanism and feels great in hand do to the trac-tec inserts. Even the higher end steel S30V model is only $65.

My Wally World had the green ano scaled Blur with a recurve blade for $58
They are definately worth that price. $125 is way too high.

If you were going to spend 125 I'd suggest a spyderco pm2... Tho I think they increased in costs recently they can be found on the exchange now and then.

im going to montreal this weekend and taking my kershaw. id rather have my $42 kershaw confiscated if i got into a situation rather than a $200 BM. When I travel to big cities I have pepper spray in my left pocket and a folder in my right pocket. I like the kershaw for my boating weekends too. I’d rather donate that one to the lake in a mishap :(

I usually take a money clip folder in those cases. It's gone through two metal detectors without issues. Boker pelican iirc. Bad knife but it cuts.
