So I bought these two awesome Chives off the exchange and I couldn't find any info on them. I love their matte feel and the fact that they're liner locks. I don't want to use them in case they're actually worth something and I might destroy their value. Does anyone have any information on these guys? The model numbers are 45591BL (for the blue one) and 45591RD (for the red one).

Thanks in advance for any information, I really appreciate it. :D:thumbup:

Unfortunately only paid memberships can ask about the value of knives.

I'm not asking about their value, but their origins. I want to know how they came to be, where they were sold, why they don't have the same model number as the regular Chive, etc. The whole "value" thing comes in when I find this out. If there were 3 made and I have two of them, they're obviously worth more then I thought and I really shouldn't use them. If they were handed out for free at the opening of every Craftsman store in America, they're obviously worth what I paid for them (or less) and I can use them to my hearts content without feeling like I'm wasting something.

Thanks for the info.

Fair enough. I did a little research and for what I've seen them go for on various sites, it looks like they aren't that rare. They are going for about the same as a standard model. I say use them like you would any other normal Chive.

I'll add that Snap-on has done the same kind of run for various Kershaw models in the past and as far as I know they are not so limited in production that people keep them as safe queens
