I wasn't expecting much for a $30 China made knife, but I was pleasantly surprised. Love the design and seems to function flawlessly.
Looking forward to putting it to work.

Yes sir, Kershaw has a lot of wonderfully designed and well made budget offerings. The Cryo is one of my favorites.

The Cryo is a great little knife. Awesome Hinderer design, and a lot of function and features packed into a compact knife.

Got one a couple of months ago. G10 version. I have carried it just about every day since. Took the thumb studs off 15 minutes after unboxing (caught on my pocket seam). Did they ever make this in D2? I would absolutely get one if they did! The only thing (besides the studs) I am not crazy about is the steel.

Glad you like it. It is a lot of knife for the $$

I wanted to really like my Cryo but after about 9 mos of edc, I gave it away. I much prefer my Rat 2 which fills that cheap/edc spot.

What I really liked was the design, blade shape, cutting performance, weight and action.

What I did not like was the blade was horribly off centered. To the point where the blade was starting to contact the frame. I was constantly taking it apart and messing with spacers and pivot tension to try to get it (and keep it) centered. All to no avail. Then my washers / spacers got all tweaked and snaggy making the action sticky.... So... seeya.

Got a Cryo 1 & 2 for my birthday last year. Not sure which one I like better :D

If you like the cyro, you should check out the emerson Kershaw collabs... They are awesome for around 30.00..

I've had 3 cryos and I can't tell you how much I hate the knife. From the sharp frame lock to the assist mechanism breaking and the weight for such a small knife. My buddy had one as well and the assist broke on his so he sent it to kershaw came back fine but broke again. They are made by the same companies in China who sell better quality blades for a fraction of the cost.

Good to hear! I have a Cryo, but it has never seen any pocket time. Just from playing with it I think it is a great bang for the buck.

I am definitely a fan of the Cryo. I got the G10 and was very impressed with it's performance. I actually had it with me when I was overseas for several weeks and it ended up having to be my primary kitchen knife as well as regular pocket knife. It really did way better than I would have expected for such a small knife. I wrote a review about the knife on my blog, and the review has actually gotten quite a bit of traffic, enough that I am thinking that maybe I should rewrite it.
