:) This has earned its place as my EDC over the past month. I have the full straight blade. I LOVE THIS KNIFE! It has a very comfortable feel and it carrys in much smaller in your pocket than you would think. Ergonomics are great! Ken Onion put out a winner here. I even baught my dad one for the hell of it ant he loves it too! (got him the combo edge)_ The steel holds an edge great and is easy to reprofile.

Any other comments are welcome. Future concerns or things to look for... THANKS KERSHAW!

I think the Cyclone is a great design and an execellent value. The nice hard kick on the Speedsafe always makes me grin too. :D

Thanks hf. I haven't even received it yet but I think I'm already in love (or probably lust). I was trying to steel (no pun) myself to lay out a lot more $$ next month at the show to get either a ZDP blade (William Henry) or an AO action (DDR EDC or Combat Elite RRF). Now I've got both for less than half the price. I feel very fortunate that I stumbled upon it. It's still not even listed on Kershaw's website.

I'll be sure to sound off when it comes in.

Now I can spend my $$ on a good fixed blade at the show...

this thread made me go buy a cyclone today I got the basic full-size model with a plain edge. I am really impressed this is my third kershaw model and my first time with the sandvik steel but I am impressed enough to order a JYD2 so I will have a Kershaw I can carry with my cities misguided AO ban.

Wichita has banned AO knives? How did you even discover this? (I'm guessing the local politicos hardly took out an ad in the paper calling attention to the ban.)

It's bad enough seeing the posts in the general discussion from people in the U.K. and Australia being reduced to 2-inch maximum blades and boxcutters, but a ban in Kansas is hitting a tad close to (my) home. :grumpy:

got my zdp mini cyclone yesterday... i've been looking for a nice edc knife and this will definitely fit the bill... :)

yes they have a ban in wichita. I learned about it when I was pulled over. Then my local knife store explained to me that they told no one about it .

Brilliant. :jerkit: And I mean that on two levels; one, the store didn't bother to advise their own customers of a known regulation in their district, and two, that something like an "assisted opening" knife would even show up on the police's radar, given that manually opened thumb-stud knives are easily as fast (or faster) than most AO's. But, I've drifted off-topic. Thanks for the info.
