I have not posted in a long time, but I wanted to share this because this Kershaw Iridium have the best fit and finish of any budget axis lock style knife I have seen so far. The blade is D2, sharp, very thin. The action is smooth as glass and drop shut.

I might be on board for one of these. I used to buy a couple of new Kershaws each year, but I’ve been out the last few (except for the sprint run Skyline).

I like the look of this knife and will likely grab one when they go live.

I agree. Got mine from KC today and if Kershaw is trying to evolve this is a great start. I haven't bought a Kershaw in years, but found this one irresistible. So far I love it. I love my Bugouts, but always thought they'd be perfect at the 8" range. The Iridium satisfies that. It's definitely punching above its $65 price tag.

I love the bearings! The bearings and bar lock combine to make this the smoothest knife I have ever owned, and I have owned an embarrassingly large number of knives, many of which were quite expensive.

Dammit, I think you may have just talked me into one. The styling of it has grown on me since I first saw it and I think your review is gonna be the thing that pushes me over the edge. Darn enablers!

Thank you for taking the time to put up the review, though.

I really like the look of this knife, quick question, how smooth/slippery are the scales?

I personally like this knife, the looks, the axis type lock, reliable brand name.
I go back to the Kershaw 1050 ages ago.
But, if only they contracted manufacture somewhere else I wouldn't mind double the price.

I picked up a Kershaw Iridium it's quite a value for the $. It's a very well constructed knife with a well ground D2 blade. I was playing with the knife and added a little decoration a brass tag with initials in the spare clip slot.

What designer's mark is that on the heel of the blade on the clip side, anyone know?
