I need some help finding this paticular knife (KERSHAW Multi-Blade Knife by Kai). My husband purchased this knife when it first came out, and on a recent hunting trip to Indiana the box with all his hunting "stuff" was lost. (you know it is always the wife's fault) I would really like to replace this knife for him but have not been able to locate it other than just one on EBay and I was not the low bidder. I have seen a newer version but it has a polymer handle and the one my husband had was a wooden handle. The knife had a lot of sentimental value.

Can anyone help?

Sorry to hear about your husband's loss. Your husband is lucky to have such a thoughtful wife.

Can you be more specific as to the lost knife?

Was it one of the "Blade Trader" models? With these you can remove and attach different blades, saw or guthook for example, to the same handle. If so then which one was it? There are at least six different models presently shown on Kershaw's website. http://www.kershawknives.com/large.htm

If you look at the Kershaw website and spot the model in question perhaps someone here can find it with wooden handles.

Or, was it a folding pocket knife (blades stay attached but fold into the handle), like the "Double Duty #4390" or the "Double Cross #4380?"

The knife was very similar to the Sportsman 1095SBT model. On top of the wooden handle was metal that raised up to install the blade. It came with 3 different blades which were stored in black plastic sleeves and it came with the leather sheath. I have a picture on my computer, but for some reason I can not attach to the message(maybe the type of membership I have here). We have been hunting together about 20 years so I am not quite sure how old the knife is he has had it for as long as I can remember.

You're great! the handle was a little different (a little more curved) I sent you a pic to your email account. But Thanks a million this just might work.

If you decide not to try to duplicate what was lost then you might consider the above Buck hunting knives built for Cabela's. Some have wood handles and all have the terrific CPMS30V blade steel.

My favorite knife, a pocket knife at the moment, is the outstanding Buck Mayo TNT (I cannot imagine a man who would not be stunned to receive such a gift from his wife): http://store.irawoodinc.com/irawoodinc/bubutnt172.html

All the best,
