I`d like to hear opinions from you guys who have this one... It seems like a pretty good value for a USA made knife.. but I don`t know much about steel and locking systems..so any thoughts would be great. Need a new EDC,lost my little Kershaw Scallion.

It is a nice, larger knife... considerably larger than the Scallion. The Sandvik 14C28N they use for the blade is a good steel. It sharpens up well and is easy to touch up. The inset liner lock is actually fit into a milled out section of the handle, so it helps keep the overall knife body pretty slim.

The Knockout is another that is worth checking out. It's a bit smaller than the Piston, uses the same steel, has a nice, wide blade profile, and uses a subframe lock. Kind of like the inset liner lock, the lockbar is fit into a milled out section of the handle. There's a recent limited run of the Knockouts that features an Elmax blade, which is an excellent blade steel.

Here's a shot of a Piston and Knockout next to a Scallion for comparison.

I'm a little late to this thread, but I own a piston and like it very much.

The Piston, Endura and Military are my normal EDC's. Liked the Piston so much I bought one for my SIL for Christmas, now it's his EDC.
