I did a blade Swap on a 420HC and Magnacut Kershaw Link because I like the non milled handle better for actual everyday or prolonged use. On the first model, all the screws were rendered useless in removing them. I thought the knife was toast or id have to buy parts or get another one for parts only...
But I hit up Kershaw's website and they directed me to a form to fill out for replacement parts. A couple weeks later, I wasn't sure if they got my submitting so I filled it out again but just for screws. Then 2 to 3 weeks later both packages came right from Kai.
I thought the Kershaw Link was a terrific value in Magnacut at around 90 dollars shipped, it performs well. But if they are going to stand by their product enough to ensure that I will always have the ability to maintain my knife in this way I am really happy. It increases it's value even more, they were very good and quick about it, and got me what I needed pretty quick. Now this is a knife I can really use. They sent me spacers, screws, a deep carry clip, and even a new set of washers.
It's not a really expensive knife, but I really like it and now unless I lose it I should have it for a long time.
The solid black aluminum handle is much more comfortable than the milled green one on the Kershaw Link. To me it looks more traditional and less aggressive as well.
It took a lot to get these two blades married, but it was so worth it! And I added an aftermarket thumb stud that just completed the package for sure
