How does it carry? Is it obvious when someone looks at you that you're carrying a huge knife? How about the legality of it? Especially in Texas?

Just curious?

I wish they'd make this with an optional secondary "clip," William Henry style, that clips to your pocket.

I overlooked this knife previously, but now I wear a suit all the time. This has really hampered my ability to carry the ultra-flashy Offset.

Still, I'd like to be able to use at any time...and the reviews I've seen say the sheath can only clip onto a belt....I don't really see why it couldn't be used with a pocket clip like from WH though.

Its no more obvious than any other folder in a sheath and its far from huge. I don't see it being illegal in any sense: small size, not gravity or automatic. It's a great knife IMHO, very well made, comfortable grip with the inserts, sharp as any other, and attractive overall. It takes some getting used to for one to become proficient with the mechanism but the average knife user will be fine with about 6 openings and closing. Also, this knife really reminds me of the ergonomics that get lost with a clip, it just melts into the hand but remains very secure. I don't see it ever falling out of the sheat but it has a lanyard hole so you could dummy-cord it if that's your thing. I managed to get very little wiggle in the blade laterally but a really small adjustment of the screws in the handles cleared that up. Overally fit and finish is very impressive, this is an excellently designed and executed knife.
If Kershaw could mate one of these with a ZT0150 I'd be all over that :D

I bought one of the black coated Ripcords for that very reason. I just had to know if it lived up to any of the "I wonder" statements made here on the kershaw forum. It is a very impressive little piece, not much bigger in the hand than a blur, but with a thinner and slightly smaller blade. There is an inherent amount of horizontal and vertical blade play simply because of the integral liner lock and the way the knife is deployed. however just to see i opened her up and put in a large amount of grease (militec-1 with lithium grease) and tightened the screws as much as possible. that helped a bit.

for a laugh i bought a mini tek-lok and mounted the ripcord for a horizontal draw, american belt systems are perfectly adequate for gun belts and the thicker 2" belts, however for daily use at work i prefer a tek lok because it fits a 1.25 - 1.5' inch belt much better and you can reposition horizontally or vertically.

I think the design is a very unique one and i don't regret my purchase at all, in fact with some tweaks i think it could be quite an EDC.

For instance, the ability to clip the sheath inside a pocket? tighter tolerances to reduce play and thicker liner lock would make it an even better value. ill post some pics this weekend with the tek lok so you can see what i'm talking about.

Well if you are worried about how it looks I thought of a way to remedy that. There is a company called Timbuk2 that makes messenger bags. Well they have a cell phone carrier that you can modify for his to fit into. When carried on your belt it honestly appears to be a phone for all the hippy liberal sheeple out there. There is a small strap that slows down the draw just a bit but with practice it is no big deal at all.

no i simply prefer pockets for my knives. and i love timbuktu and booq products for bags

I had doubters 15 years and more ago when I bought $300  computer bags.

The bags are still going strong after 5 or 6 generations of laptops.
