Hey guys,

Im going to be graduating in less than a week. My knife shop will be getting the offset in in about a week and half (possibly two). im looking to get at least two more kershaws other than the offset. I've already made up my mind about one (the baby boa) but im not sure on the second one. Price is prolly going to have to be around $50-$90 in adition too the baby boa. i was looking at the Spec bump. Anything diferent i should consider?

example of the $50-$90 range is that the Spec bump is around $90 there

If you have your heart set on the Spec Bump, then go for it. On the other hand everyone has been raving about the JYD's. For the cost of the Spec Bump you could probably get a JYD and a JYD II. Or a JYD and a Lahar (if this is true, I think I need to visit this knife shop of yours).
You might want to wait for the 13C26 version, but I have to say I really love my 440A Mini Mojo/Mojito. Great shape, a practical safety, and a more comfortable size to use than the Baby Boa (hadn't you mentioned you had big hands?)

well my heart isnt set on the spec bump. i do like it, but my heart isn't set on it.......

the JYD just hasnt caught my eye yet. i guess i need to actually hold it and play with it first. (i did with the grove. not that impressed with the opening speed, but i guess thats me. the blade was cool though.)

I do have my eye on the Lahar. Not sure if they ordered that one. If not they can get one for me.

ahhh the mini mojo (i dont feel like spelling it "properly" lol). that is an interesting knife. I do like it, alot. maybe it will go to three knives...........

Yes i did mention i have large hands. The baby boa is more or less for cool factor and having a awsome lil knife. sure it takes all but 2 fingers to hold, but hey, whats not to love about it?

if you want the name of my knife shop just e-mail me and i'll send you the info. they have some pretty good prices. heck the price i was told originally for the Offset was like $120 or so.

Wait and save up a few extra bucks. Then get the Mini Cyclone TiZDP189. If your paws are as large as mine, you'll find out there is nothing really "mini" about this knife. Three fingers hold it very comfortably. It just feels natural in your hand.

If not, wait a while and see what Thomas W is going to offer us as his next special production model. I'm very interested in the NRG 1470. Can't wait to see what they do to this knife.

And Congrats on your degree...

Just so you know, the Mini Mojo and Spec bump are what I carry everyday. I'm probably nuts, but I'll likely try carrying the G-10 Offset for a bit instead of the Spec Bump when it gets here.
I hadn't gotten to play with the JYD's at all yet, but its hard to ignore the glowing threads about it. I am hooked on A/O though, so I'll need to play with a manual flipper for a bit. The Lahar is in the same boat (though the VG-10 really interests me).
Post what you think if you get to play with them.
Too bad the NRG's won't ship in time for your shopping spree. They'd probably be a perfect compromise.

I'll consider it. The mini cyclone TiZDP189 does interest me alot. how much do they usually run for in price?

i only wish that it was a degree. im graduating highschool. that is one reason why the budget is low. college costs......car/gas...... just glad i have a good job right now.

as for what you said kneedeep, i will post my review as soon as i play with the JYD. the nrg would be interesting to play with....when do they come out again?

We are really excited about the NRG's. They will be the next generation flipper to be sure. I really believe you all will dig the pseunetic opening. It is a real smooth operator. There will be proto's at the Blade Show.

Great maker in Lee Williams, sweet design, made in the US, all packaged together with a $45-55 street.

We are hopeful for a late July delivery.

This was the most recent thing Thomas posted regarding the NRG's.

The low street I've seen on the TiZDP189 Mini Cyclones has been 120-130. Its on my short list of new model knives to pick up because of the great write ups it has gotten here. Too many old model knives that are on my list keep popping up, that I end up needing to buy (while I can) instead of the Mini Cyclone. If I'm not careful it'll end up on my list of old unavailable knives soon too.

one other note guys. i've been talking to the people at santa fe stoneworks and may wind up sending the offset to have a custom handle made for it and installed. he said that he will be at the blade show this year and would look at the offset for me and see if it could be done. if so, he'll give me a price on it.

hey guys. has anyone done business with a Kevin Han on ebay? his name on ebay is stangster and he runs Hank's Gifts. he has a really good price on the cyclone TiZDP for $129.00 with shipping. I think that that is a good price. I'm going to check with my knife shop first on their price when the Offset comes in of course, just to see if they have it cheaper.

hey kneedeep, I am really happy right now. I am going to prolly get the Offset with the aluminium handles! I found it for a awsome price today. that ends everything else it seems cause it will use up my budget. everything but the baby boa.
