Kershaw splinter

They're beautiful and they're Kershaws. All's I know about them is the quince wood scales rock and that Kershaw has some of the sharpest out-of-box edges known to mankind. Wish I had more to tell you.

can't find any pictures or links. I just saw it advertised in the latest Blade. Looks very nice. I guess it doesn't have speedsafe tho.

hey guys; here is few links. i've been looking at this for a few days. looks very nice. and from one of these pics, looks like it is tip-up carry too. that is real nice to me. beautiful wood too. it would probably make a good gents knife. smaller and beautiful :)

only experience i have had closest to this would be a friends kershaw leek. this appears to be the same size, but with the speed assist opener. i like most kershaw stuff though, especially ken onion designs. enjoy

thanks

I have two of them - got in on an un-noticed eBay auction and got the pair for $70.00. They are the smoke/red/black aluminum versions. They do make an ideal gentleman's knife - they are deceptively small though. I'll try to post a comparison picture after work.

All in all they are very well made, but I think the clip should have just been omitted. It's too small IMO and will only clip over a very thin pocket edge or waistband.

I had the chance to get one in my hands, & I have to tell you: I love almost all the Ken Onion's designs, including this one, but seems to me that is a very little knife to be useful.

HERE's a mini review I did for mine.
Since getting my first knife with a pocket clip about 10 years ago, I've only bought two knives since that didn't have them (both custom slipjoints), but I'd have to say the Splinter is better since I took it's clip off a couple weeks ago.

For a small knife, it is rather nice though :)
