I just bought a blur S30V and i do t see the good old MADE IN USA on the blade. Am i Missing something? I never seen there made in USA knifes with out this. I hope this is not a start to have american made handles with china blades. Any thoughts would be great.

Made In The USA
When you see this on one of our knives, it means the knife was made in our Tualatin, Oregon manufacturing facility by skilled Kershaw knifemakers.i see it on the web site. this is copied from there site. well. i see every thing else but that. if it still is why would they not put it on there blades anymore. im having a hard time with this one.

I did and was transferred around and finally I was told they just changed there engraving. Maybe I'm just being to anal. It just bugs the shit out of me every time I open that blade I don't see the made in USA. I could car less about the model number and the ken onion design. Something seems fishery.

Leeks and Blurs and other Kershaws are made in the U.S. along with the ZT line, but some of the lower end Kershaws that are in the $15-$35 price range are made in China, but Kershaw still has good quality control on their overseas products.

I had some and they where very old. they where made in japan. so don't give me that USA made only.

Everyone and their uncle who has been paying attention knows that Kershaw makes knives in The USA, Japan, and China. The blades that are made in China and Japan are clearly marked as such so there is no confusion. The USA ones haven't been marked as such for a few years. If you read the product description though for whatever knife you are interested in, it clearly states where it was made. Hope this helps with the "confusion".

Does seem odd the would change the engraving to remove the made in usa or even just "usa"....off the knife? What do I know though? Maybe its in another place...just harder to see?

^uhh..... I got a more than a couple modern kershaw usa made with it on the blade....not sure what you are saying? Im missing the obvious....thanks.

I thinking of retuning this and buying a bench made.

You have a Blur that was made in Japan? Kai makes knives in Japan, China, Taiwan and USA that I am aware, but I do believe all Blurs are made in USA.

It would be news to me if you have an offshore-sourced Blur, but I am not the company historian.

Blurs have always been made in the US from my recollection. Watch out for the Speed Bumps; older models were US produced, the newer models are Chinese.

It's just something they did recently. Couldn't begin to tell you why? My cf154 and CFGRN blurs are not marked with it but my older blurs are (BOR,SG10,SG2,CBZDP,etc..) hence a few/couple yrs, whatever. As said above the boxes and the description for them says "Made In The USA". All out of country knives are marked as such though (Japan, China). Don't believe me, just call up the factory :)
