UPDATE: So I just called Kershaw and they said that they will be shipping me some new screws soon. Great customer service Kershaw!! Keep it up!

So after months upon months of scouring the internet looking for one, I manage to snag the only one a dealer was getting. After a few days of waiting it arrived!

It is everything people say it is. Smooth, comfortable, and so very awesome!

Unfortunately, I guess karma decided to catch up to me today.

Can you see the problem? Let zoom in a bit...

See it now? I wanted to carry this bad boy, and so i tried to switch the clip to tip up. As I was loosening the screw, I noticed that it was very hard to get out, but I didn't think much of it. However, as I was re-tightening the screws, I noticed that it became much smoother all of a sudden, and this happened.

So, I'm going to call Kershaw up on Monday to see if I can get some replacement screws. In the meanwhile, any of you guys have any ideas on getting the rest of the screw out of the hole?

Best bet is to just send it in and let Kershaw take care of it.

you cn get reverse drill bits, You could drill the center of the screw too and it would probably spin through the liner and come out. theres probably an easier way though :p. I'd send to kershaw

Just send it in to kershaw, I know it sucks to wait for the turn around but you don't want to risk doing more damage to the knife!

If you take the other screw out and remove the clip? If so it looks like the broken screw might stick up above the handle, if so you might be able to grab it with some pliers and remove it.

Yeah, send it in. No sense risking messing up an expensive, limited edition knife trying to do a self-repair.

yep managed to do just that without f-ing up the titanium

I just got my satin Tilt today ....... and the detent is SUPER strong , what Iam asking is , Has anyone had to deal with there warranty dept. before ???
Is it as good as Benchmades service ?? I hope so , it should be ......Ive never had a problem with a Kershaw before. I know its just one of those things (it happens)
I know these are stupid questions to be asking on there forum , but after that long wait Iam just disappointed that I have to send it off.
Whats the average turn around time ??
My Black bladed Tilt is NICE  but this one I couldnt flick it open LOL , I had to pull it open by the thumb studs ...LOL
My fingers sore ....LOL

Are you unable to adjust the pivot for some reason? What exactly is wrong with the knife that is making you think you need to return it?
Kershaw customer service is as good as it gets in the industry, turn around times depend on how busy they are with backlogged stuff. Try adjusting the pivot before letting panic set in. ;)
