Anyone have any experience with this knife? How's the quality? How well does it function? How is the framelock? i have the opportunity to get one for $20 and was wondering what the experts here on the forum have to say about it

Thanks guys.

I don't own one and have not handled it, but it looks nice, and its kershaw, so id say it should be worth it, any way, good taste,

bronzed my handle its a decent knife, centering was way off on mine but got it adjusted pretty good.

Don't have the Volt SS, but I do have a Volt II. I like the design. It's a great knife, but I've found myself wishing the handle was about 1/2" longer, so I could get a 4-finger grip on it. Looks like the Volt SS does exactly that. As for the stainless steel framelock, if it's anything like the Leek or Cryo (the only stainless steel Kershaw framelocks I've handled), it should be plenty good.

Same here .. It needed adjustment but it's perfect now.

I am so jealous .. I've been looking for that Snap-On version for along time !! ............ Sweet !

I got one, sticky lock, blade off center (but I have no problem with this), AND it really difficult to reach the lock bar. in my sample, the SS Scales is more broad than the side that have tho lockbar, so whenever I need to close the blade I have to use my left hand thumbnails to disengage the lock.

solved the problem with dremel tool anyway...

But it is really a great knife design and ergonomics.

With that being said, would you recommend this knife?

They are nice knives and $20 is a good price! Get it! IS the $20 price an online deal???

I like my SS Volt 2 alot. I use it as a work knife and I beat the crap out of it every day.
I convexed the edge, and I have had to clean up the tip a few times from knife abuse ..lol but its a real trooper.
I cant tell you how many times I have cut drywall with it and then cut cardboard or tape no problem after with no sharpening between events.
Always been happy with my Kershaw folders, this one is no exception. I will say I wish they made the Volt SS in a slightly smaller knife. As much as I love this blade, I wouldn't mind a smaller version with the SS thin slabs at all.
