I got a Zing a few weeks ago, & I love the knife (btw, thank you kershaw for designing a flipper with a pocket clip that can be carried by us lefties), but I have stopped wearing it recently because the pocket clip keeps loosening. I looked at the factory screws on the clip & they only engage about half way into the liner. If i screwed them into the handle without the clip in place they still don't come out of the inside of the liner. due to this I am hesitant to really tighten them down. What I would like to know is if the screw length is normal, and what thread form is used. It looks like a 2-56 UNC thread, but I would like to know for sure before I get some longer replacement screws. Thanks.

Zog, if you go too long with the replacement screws and stick out through the liner you will "run into the blade" which is not good. If you are going to the hardware store anyway get some blue locktite and use it on the end of the screw threads and they shouldn't back out anymore. I keep a few T-6 torx drivers around to habitually snug up the screws on my carry knives.

I fixed one up lefty for a family member and did think the screws were a little short to start with, but, with some loctite and some pressure while installing them, they have held :)
