Hi. If there is already a thread here on Keychain Knives, I apologize and maybe a mod can merge my post into that thread. I DID search, but the only threads I found were many years old and not exactly on point. So in the interest of avoiding necromancy, I'm starting this one.

Show us your keychain knives!

I have a few, three of which are shown below: a Boker Mini Tech Tool City, a GEC #05 (spear point - I also have a sheepsfoot version), and a Victorinox Classic.

Notes . . .

The Boker is the biggest, while the Vic is the smallest (although "wider" than the GEC).

GEC is the most expensive (by a lot), while the Vic Classic is the least expensive.

All blades are stainless. Boker uses Sandvik 12C27 stainless, GEC uses 420HC stainless, and Vic uses X55CrMo14 INOX.

The GEC has a half-stop. The others don't.

The Vic has a mini-scissors and some other tools. The others don't.

So which do I regularly carry? The Boker is by far on my keychain the most, with an occasional swap out for the GEC. I really don't carry the Vic. Blade is too small to be very useful for me. Boker blade size makes it quite useful.

Not a brand that's seen very often in the Traditional forums, but this Spyderco is a slipjoint. Very small and very sharp. The tool of last resort.

One time a guy asked if I had a knife he could borrow. When I asked what he was going to use it for, the answer was something really stupid, so I offered him this. He laughed and went away. Who knows what he would have done to the nice Boker in my pocket.

That is cool! Must. Get.

These 2 pictures are of the same knife, just a couple of years apart:

I hate getting tape gunk on my EDC, so this one gets all the package-opening duties.
Nice carry J Just Tom.

I’m sure you know but isopropyl alcohol cleans the tape gunk and tree sap nicely.

I regularly clean mine with the alcohol and oil the joints with a dab of mineral oil. Keeps’em clean and smooth!

WD-40 (or PB Blaster) work well also. 👍

All that is great, and hand sanitizer also is on hand everywhere these days, but since I sometimes use my knife for opening food packaging, cutting fruit, slicing bread etc., I prefer to sterilize it properly by spitting on it and wiping it on my jeans.

Wenger Pocket Tool Chest, which lives in my jean watch pocket, not on keys, and keeps my Photon Freedom from disappearing. Kept too many other things next to it and wore the white Swiss cross logo off.

Trim Trio, which my Dad used to carry in his leather key case. Both have 1.75" blades.

Man, I remember in the 1960's, those Trim trio's were all o ver. The five and dime stores all had the stand up cardboard display up near the cash register for those last minute sales. I think they were all of .99 cents or so.
