The idea has started in my head before my father died but really sticked to my mind ever since he died of this tattoo idea:
On back~
Traditional Family shield
One side Blacksmith hammer
Other side a bladed weapon
Why that approach? Family shield for obvious reasons while blacksmith hammer, dad just worked his ass off to keep his family family while the bladed weapon represents dad and our family fighting hard to survive as a family. Needless to say, dad succeed in that. And so I wanted to honor him this way and put this on my back.
But this is where I need you guys' help.
I would like some suggestion of a Khukuri design that will show up from top and from bottom behind the shield while the blacksmith hammer will take the other end in a X fashion unseen from behind.
Reason why I picked Khukuri blades is because it just speaks to me so much more than any other weapons and I tried to like other bladed weapons (and I still do) but they have such a linear approach to some of the medieval bladed weapons. The khukuri curves, the grace, the handmade beauty...It will help keep the combination unique for a family shield.
Thank you guys in advance.
P.s. I'm willing to also hear new ideas or new approaches but I want it to end up being photo-realistic.
