Hey guys. I'm trying to help out my dad. He and mom have a huge pecan tree that produced about 35 or 40 gallons last year and looks like it's going to beat that this year. He has a manual lever cracker, but he has it in his head that he wants to make a kinetic/inertial cracker. Neither one of us can find plans online. Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction? It would really make him happy.

Those last ones are what he wants. I'm convinced the moving piece at the long end is what's striking and craving the nuts, but he thinks there is something else happening in the big end other than just the drive components. He is an incredible fabricator, but I think he's wrong this time. I'd like to just build one to prove him wrong. Wouldn't use a gear motor though, I'd just make it hand crank so it would be cheap to make.
