I have been looking at the Kingdom Armory mini Samaritan for a while and wanted to hear some feedback from people who have had one, side note is Im good with a 3" blade for EDC so the size is not a problem, but how did it perform in the real world? One extra question, what is different about the V2 (current new model) vs the first models? I think its improvements to lock face but not sure.

I'd be interested to know as well. I sorta remember reading a couple owners making an observation about the lock face(initial impression stuff), but nothing other than that. Hopefully some owners respond.

I really like mine, lots of belly on the blade. It has a huge blade to handle ratio. Note however the one thing that bothers me is that the edge stops towards the end of the grind so you cannot cut yourself if your fingers go in the spine of the knife when its closed. All in all I think it is a nice knife, well made; here are a few pics:

The faux bolsters in dragon scale texture are ascetically pleasing.

I really like these thumb studs.

Comes with a nice Bills Custom Case.

I agree I have version 1.... I think the difference is a slight lock bar change as well as version 1 was full TI and v2 has g10. I love the full ti. Mine is one of the smoothest opening knives I have. I love the handle....it fits in the hand very well. All in all I would say this is a very under rated blade.

I agree with you RAAM, I think it is an underrated knife. It sells for $380-$400, titanium, S30V blade, a sleeve system for the pivot similar to some others, basically it looks like a competitor for Chris Reeve knives.

I have a couple Chris reeve knives.....my Samaritan is smoother, and since the blade stock is thicker I would feel more comfortable hard using it.

I had one when they first came out, all Ti, first version.

The day I received it, it worked flawlessly, but over the next few days, it developed a lot of lock stick, than a ton of lockrock. I was really disappointed, but I contacted Dave and he told me the bushing was probably out of spec. I sent it in, and had it back within a week. I'm pretty sure he replaced the whole knife. It came back perfect, but by that time I was turned off from it.

Dave was a pleasure to deal with, and I haven't heard a lot of similar stories so it might have just been a bad apple. It's good to hear other people haven't had the same problems.

I EDC'd a V2 for a few months.
Really good knife.

Feels great in pocket, and bigger in hand then it really is...
I never had any issues with lock-up, and found the knife to be very smooth once worked in.

The blade shape, and all that belly is excellent.
It's a solid knife.

I just wish it came in a better steel for the money, and that's the only thing that's kept me from getting another one.

the whole supper steal gets to me after awile.I have had all the super steels.and my favorites have been the vg10 1095 with a hamon s30vm s35vn 154cpm and d2 m3 or 4 .I am a chef I take care of my knives .the difference is mostly in cost.if you no how to sharpen certain steels and the edge that works best with that steel you dont ever have a problem.the mini Samaritan is a killa In slicing and edc

I've had one that I bought NIB and gave to a grandson. He has quite a few knives; not sure if he uses this one, but at least it will be there when/if he wants it...
A very nice knife, and very comfortable...even though the handle is only about 3 1/2" long. I hated to give it away...
:)

I wish they made a cross between the mini and the full, this one just seems too small. I've been tempted by the mini for a very long time, maybe I'll pick up a full version some time. I just love the design on these bad boys.
