Kizer Drop Bear

Been carrying it for a week now. I absolutely love it. It’s very smooth. The fit and finish are perfect. The centering is spot on.

I really like the the “axis lock” tension is adjustable. And Kizer even sends you and extra set of omega springs. What about that?

I have been eyeballing this one for a short bit. I like the simple clean ergonomic design.

Have you tuned yours yet? The idea of setting the tension differently on each side seems really neat.

I have not. I watched someone’s disassembly video and thought that was fantastic idea.

I will say I think the lock bar sticks out a touch further than in a Benchmade. I like it. It gives a more positive grip I think.

I dont understand how it can be adjustable for different tensions on different sides. Aren't you you still pulling both springs back to disengage the lock anyway?.

If there are 2-4 extra holes where the omega spring can go in, you can put 1 spring end on a 1st hole and 1 spring end on the other sides hole into the 3rd hole, which would make different tensions on each side, just not sure if it would make the axis bar uneven or cock eyed .Pretty cool innovation ....

I really like the looks of this model too. I have yet to get one, it may be quite some time until I do because I've just spent too much lately, but I'd love to get one. That is cool that they're sending extra omega springs with it. They've learned from watching people's reactions to Benchmade's axis models.

I get how you adjust it it😉 I just dont see how you can pull the "light" side back while not engaging the heavier weight of the other spring, you're still compressing both springs right?
Or because of the different spring location holes does one engage slightly before the other?

I am guessing that the tension adjust according to selected hole used, so both sides on furthest hole equals lowest tension, and vice versa. Placing on side on furthest, and other on closest would be the same as both on center hole.
