I just received this knife and don't know much about carbon fiber but it's the worst carbon fiber design I've ever seen on any knife. Is this normal?

By the way, I was planning on receiving something like this in the link below. I'm very disappointed and will be returning it.

I was going to say, this looks like you got g10... but the pic from knifecenter for the cf looks like this: (so I think they just may have used a bad cf design?)

Yeah you can see in the pic that the middle part gets really uneven near the top. The picture I took highlights the issue more but it's even worse looking at it in person. I find it hard to believe that anybody could be satisfied with this so called "premium" knife from Kizer.

It’s unidirectional carbon fiber. That’s what it’s supposed to look like. Did you not look at pictures before you ordered? Or did you think you were getting the marbled carbon?
The picture I saw didn't show very much detail. I guess I just assumed it would look like good carbon fiber, which was obviously a big mistake. It's normal for unidirectional to go so uneven like that?

It’s hard to tell from your picture, which isn’t very focused, but your scale looks almost like it wasn’t milled properly. It should look like the picture D dirc posted. Unidirectional carbon isn’t woven like the most commonly used carbon fiber, instead, all The fibers are running the same direction. Marble/chopped carbon is the opposite, where the fibers are randomly oriented (making it more prone to voids). Kizer makes three versions of the CF Feist: twill (woven), marble, and unidirectional. If you’re not into the look of that one, get one of the others.

I was interested until I realized that they aren't G-10, they're "unidirectional" CF, whatever that is.
The dealer/Kizer photos all seem to lack detail.
I have the marbled CF Feist, which I consider a big improvement over the Ti version.
I'd still be interesed in a G-10 version; the Hogue Mini Ritter shows just how wonderful G-10 can look and feel.

The only 2 I can find is the titanium and the unidirectional carbon fiber. I think it's the only 2 they make right now. I'm not really interested in the titanium because it adds extra weight plus I've heard people don't care for the frame lock.
