Hello everyone, that's my first post on this forum. Sorry for my english if there will be mistakes.
I bought my first knife made by better steel than other my knives (Victorinox Huntsman, Leatherman Wave, Mora 2000). This knife is Kizer Domin with VG10 steel. I read that it's harder to sharp so I wanna ask, is it possible to sharp this knife using Taidea t0918c with 400 and 1000 rods? Do you know what's the sharpening angle on this knife? Sharpener offers me angles 18* and 22*.

The Taidea looks like a Sharpmaker/Crockstick clone. I'm guessing the abrassives are aluminum oxide, so you should be able to sharpen fine.
While VG-10 is harder to sharpen than those softer steels, it isn't difficult to sharpen in general. It might take a few extra strokes.
As for the angle, no idea. I use bench stones and feel for the angle.

Mark the edge with a sharpie and take a few strokes on each. You will now see where the stone make contact with the blade which will give you a better idea of the angle.

Thanks for reply O Ourorboros . Do you think that the information on this site is true and it's possible that this knife has 22* angle? I thought that folders are <20*.
It could be true, I just generally feel for the bevel on my stones and work from there.
Do what rpttrsn said, this will tell you if you are using the correct angle on your device.
