Does anyone have the Knafs Co Lander?

If so, what are your opinions of it? Any possibility of some in-hand pics, and/or pics next to other common folding knives?

Thanks.

It's a nice clean design, the price isn't bad, and it's specifically designed for people who like to swap out scales.

For me personally, a big reason why it isn't high on my list is that I already own a Benchmade Bugout, Ka-Bar Dozier, and a WE Blue Banter (another Ben Peterson design); so it's partly a case of duplication. Both the handle and blade are also a little smaller than I like, but that's right up there with the infamous knife-size preferences of Ben. Interest for this knife is going to come from an appreciation for what Peterson has done for the online knife community and because you're drawn to the mini version of knives like the Mini Griptilian, Mini Bugout, Spyderco PM3, and RAT2 more than the full sized model.

If I recall, Ben Peterson, who designed this knife, was on the regular Blade HQ videos. I could be wrong, though.
Yes. That's the one. They've even got the old gang back together occasionally on the Zac in the Wild channel.

Wanted one the moment I saw it.
I love liner locks and blades just under 3 inches with thumb studs.
The design, weight, ergos and clip are first-rate.

Mine came with a very tiny amount of blade play, which I fixed by tightening the pivot screw, and an annoying squeak, which I have been unable to fix with lube.

Ben immediately sent a return label and offered to replace it.

Highly recommended.

I have the original lander in green micarta with the 14c28N blade, love it but wanted something bigger so I just received my Lander 2 in S35VN today already put it through some paces, love the fit and finish and the Kizer Clutch lock, already chipped the blade on some pasture fence 😭.
I love what Knafs is doing with their knifes and tools, I have also been daily using their torx tool with a Philips/flathead Wiha bit set for maintaining test setups when I travel to labs for work.

Seems like a good base level model for someone who would want to customize or take apart their knife with support from the designer to do so. Cheap enough to get non-knife people to bite perhaps.

I don’t really carry anything in this price category anymore, too deep into the sickness.

It's a nice little knife. I won it in a lotto, for some reason it's kind of a boring knife to me, not sure what that even means haha, but that's how it makes me feel.

I suppose it's the overall shape which makes it about the most non-threatening looking modern folding knife I've come across, which can be very good for some people.

I bought some secondhand Ti scales for it and like it quite a bit more now. It's still seems kind of boring to me though haha.

Edit: I did want to mention, after calling it boring, that it is a well made little knife. Mine has a great action, I like the liner lock (which has about the perfect amount of tension), the thumbstuds are in a good place to open easily, and it is cool being able to switch scales without taking the pivot out. That last feature should really become an industry wide feature in my opinion.

Added a Lynch clip to mine. Nothing wrong with the original, I just like Lynch's products.

Bought mine after they made the recent announcement that 14C28N had a price reduction so they were passing on the savings to the customer.
