Knife block

After lurking on here I decided to build a knife set rather than purchasing a pre-configured one, with a budget of around $300. I started with steak knives, as those are my most worn out ones, and settled on these Marksford ones (I wanted a straight edge, not serrated).

Here's the problem... I don't have a knife block that fits them. Any suggestions for a counter top knife block that will fit fairly large steak knives (set of 8)?

Alternatively, a complete set for around $300-400?

Look for "magnetic knife block" - the search will turn up magnetic knife strips too, but you can figure that out.
They are free standing boards with a magnet in the middle.
