Some custom knifemakers present their knives in beautiful
display packages or with presentation stands.

It would be nice to see some of these!
Or some that you collector's have built for your knives.

Here are two beautiful display packages that go with
Bruce Bump's gun-knives.

All the best,

I love the idea of an included display case...

Burt Foster has done a couple, and John White had one with his legacy series, maybe they will share some photos. Good thread!

They are no doubt beautiful and very fitting of the treasures they house.

I'm usually more drawn towards display stands however as they seem to make what's being displayed more easily viewed at a glance than a box.

That's so awesome, just like in the ole spy stories.
Another great thread, I'm looking forward to seeing how folks set up their knives for regular viewing.

In Blade awhile back, there was a thing on Shelley Berman and he had all these little coffee table type cases with glass tops and sides, displaying his collection. I thought that was pretty cool.

Kevin,
I know that you have made some beautiful display setups
and stands to keep some of your knives in constant view.
It would be nice to see them again here...

Here is one of the most famous knife-and-stand displays in
the world of Modern Custom Knives.
It is of course Buster Warenski's priceless Tut gold dagger, from
the collection of Phil Lobred.

Here are a couple of my knives on display stands.

Hello Marcel, that is quite a display you have there, more than
a couple according to my simple calculations.... :)

Are these knives on constant display at home?

All the best,

Yes David, they are on constant display in my living room. This is one of three that are in my living room. Here is one of my other Goblins for which Larry made a display stand just this year.

GREAT display case you have there, Marcel!
The dream of every collector!

All the best,

I recently posted these displays in another thread, however they seem appropriate here as well.
Having my knives out in open where they can be constantly viewed is part of the enjoyment for me. I also like making the the displays. May try my luck at a display box in the future.

Yes, Kevin, that is one amazing piece of furniture. Having a mirror
at the back is a great idea too!
Thanks for showing it!

And Jos, the box/stand is a neat idea too!

All the best

Here is one Fuegen Goblin where the stand
becomes an "integral" part of the knife's story.

This is "Voodoo" (2009) from the Michael Talanian collection.

COOL displays.

Marcel - those are exquisite.

Kevin - did you make that large cabinet? If so, well done.

Those boxes holding Mr. Bumps creations are awesome as well.

Peter

That Goblin is in my top 3 of favorite Goblins.:thumbup:

A rustic western display, featuring Ed Fowler knives and items. This first case was built around a Ford Model-T woodframed windshield (depot hack, i think), using old hardware throughout. Lower part came from a barn entrance and ballester ironwork.

Second case is made from old mirror frame and reclaimed American Chestnut boards.

Kevin, I really like the way you've used the furniture as a base to display both the display cases and knives. It makes the experience of being around the knives more homey. I do the same thing - Furniture and it's lovely wood, displaying everything in a warm, comfortable atmosphere.

Very nice look, indeed.

Kevin, I am envious of your amazing set up. I notice your Josh Smith bowie gets around. It seems to be in different places at once!!

I display knives on my desk, but no where near as classy as how Kevin has it. One day when I have a nice place (if ever) I intend to create that kind of set up.

Here are pics. Nothing fancy. Tomway cocobolo cases which I have standing upright so you can actually see inside them. Also the case with the Hanson fighter is by Forrest Bogg.
