A knife from [a non-BF dealer] for $45, I also bought it with a knife.
Send your photos of bushcraft and survival knives and how much they cost!

I used these for years when knocking about in the woods. I don't remember what I paid for the Buck, and the Old Timer was a gift from my father.

Nowadays, I might use this one (or likely add it to the things I tote about). I paid right around eighty bucks for the 4-Max Scout.

What do you think about folding knives for bushcraft?
As for me, it’s generally not convenient to create folding bags for every day but not for hiking

Growing up we’d spend days in the woods camping and all we had were Gerber Gators and Leatherman Super Tools. I had a Camillus Pilot Survival Knife and one of my other friends a Buck Night Hawk. I can’t remember what the other guys carried. Sometimes a Gerber Exchange a Blade saw too and small Gerber hatchet. But it wasn’t anything fancy.

Now if I’m going out I take a Mora Bushcraft Black and Eldris and a Leatherman Charge TTi. I pretty much car camp now and only bring the saw and axe for that. Now it’s a Corona saw and a 19” Hultafors axe but I still have the Gerber.

BPS is the manufacturer of the knife, not a dealer. I am not aware of a forum rule that prohibits you from telling us who made the knife.

And, nice knive - I like the one that I have.

Folding knives do all the cutting I need when camping. I might take sheath knives just because I want to, but I've rarely needed more than a SAK.

The SAK cuts rope, carves, cleans fish, opens packages, makes feather sticks, etc.

The Flip Point by David Mary David Mary . Mine is in AEB-L with a selectively robust grind. I don't recall what I paid, but I'm certain it was less than it's really worth. I think of it as my Canadian puukko: if you can't "bushcraft" with this then just get a hatchet.*

*hatchets are awesome, although i prefer tomahawks. Get one anyway.

I was not familiar with Jelio, but after seeing your pic, and googling the company, I really want one!

I’ve made my dream bushcraft/hunting knife. I used a Spyderco Shaman. The blade is perfect for this purpose. It’s heavy and simply has the best design to clean big game like deer. S90V blade for excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. Bright blaze orange scales for easy identification. Also has a Lynch NW deep cary clip so my rifle doesn’t tap my knife heel when I’ve got it over my shoulder. I also added a Flytanium geared backspacer for more traction. It will do everything you need.IMG_8045.jpegIMG_8046.jpegIMG_8047.jpeg

By the way. I will suggest the hultafors heavy duty. Ok1 ok4 and so on. (Sort of the same knife)

A cheap brilliant starter knife to learn bushcraft on. Mabye do some simple mods like a patina or mess with the sheath.

Very light, very sturdy. Big hard to slip off and cut yourself handle.

Replacable if you do drop it off a cliff or something.
