Yes. Thank you. I appreciate all your help Danbot. I'll definitely try to get in touch with you if I ever need help with this kind of thing again.
Well done, danbot!

Because Bernard Levine told me that the users here were "more knowledgeable" when it comes to identifying knives, and don't charge for it.
A lot of the real knives around here are only used for creating digital images that people share with their friends. That’s kinda funny
Hopefully this experience will open his eyes and really get him into the hobby. I can't criticize him because I bought a SOG Seal Pup tigerstripe because of CS 1.6.
I was already into knives. However, most video game knives are not really useful designs in the overall scheme.
But fantasy knives have their place too. I lusted after Gil Hibben fantasy knives when I was 13. My neighbor got the SMKW catalog and I would just drool.
KingMC, I agree with you about the respect thing. The more I see of the OP, the more I see the modern equivalent of 13 year old me. Except I had a Sega Genesis.
Sonic the Hedgehog!
Well I'm sorry if I ever made it seem like I don't appreciate all the time and energy you guys put into knives. I never intended it to come across that way. I didn't want any bad blood whatsoever. I'm just tired of being lectured about this. But I would like to say that I definitely meant no disrespect to anyone here, as I have a tremendous amount of respect for all the users. I'm sorry if it came across like I didn't.Your attitude towards the forum being simply a free source of data for your pet projects is not the attitude we like seeing in new members, you are expecting respect from members here when you've shown none to them or to the forum as a whole.
Most video game knives are just that. Some maybe inspired by real knives, but generally it's expensive to have a license to put the real knife in the game, plus rendering issues etc. The closest homage to the real deal I remember was Counter-Strike 1.6 which looked very similar to SOG's Seal 2000. Otherwise, most are at the renderer's whim.
I haven't gamed in years unless at a party or something, but guns being larger are easier to get a better rendering. I have a friend in the gaming industry, if remember correctly he started out as one of the leads in the fallout series.
Also note that the knife industry is more volatile than guns. A design may only last a few years and be discontinued.
The Colt M-16/M-4, AK-47, and Steyr AUG have been in production for more than 40 years, the former two a lot longer. Don't have to worry about those becoming obsolete anytime soon.
I don't think many of the members of BF are gamers, many of us aren't young enough to have experienced the boom of online gaming at an age where it would be of interest. I still remember Atari, pong, arcades, pinball...
Still have my N64. From sophomore year of high school.
Only reason I know about all this is way back when I dated a girl who worked at an internet cafe, got me hooked on Counter-Strike 1.5. One thing led to another, and I was senior admin on a 1.6 server for five years. But I haven't really been active in 7 years.
You are right. I have edited my post. It's the Vostok by A&R Zlatoust. They have an interesting range with patterns quite different from what is usually seen.Is it A&R? I have one knife from this company, and it was designed by the same guy who create Punisher but in more classic style
I ran across one that looks fairly similar to the first image of a folder except the blade is not black. The Camillus Keto Linerlock. I really don't understand why some of you guys are giving this poster such a hard time about his questions. If you are not interested then skip the post. If you don't read it then it is doing you no harm. Go about your business and let him ask his questions.

@Gabe Newell the owner/co-founder of Valve, which produces Half-Life and Counter-Strike (yes, I know CS was started as a fan mod), is a fellow knife knut and a member here.
I never said it was for a phone app. It's just a non-profit video game I'm making. I prefer to play with my friends. Nothing wrong with that. I wanted to use real designs for the knives and this seemed like the best place to inquire about said design since I'm not a huge knife guy myself. The irony here is so thick you could cut it with one of the knives OP is looking for so he can steal the design for his phone game app he's planning on making for his "few friends". LOL
He hasn't been on for over 3 years, I'm guessing he's not coming back or has a new username.@Gabe Newell the owner/co-founder of Valve, which produces Half-Life and Counter-Strike (yes, I know CS was started as a fan mod), is a fellow knife knut and a member here.
