Knife making is a piece of cake...

Wow! That is a beautiful design! There are custom makers who would love to make that knife for you, and I don't think you would find the price out of reach....

...provided of course you have Photoshop. :)

This is my first attempt at "drawing" a knife in Photoshop.

I made it out of frustration, as today I went to buy a beautiful ebony Terzuola ATCF with a black blade I've had my eye on, only to find it was sold just minutes earlier.

The salesman then nearly got me to buy a wood Sebenza instead, but I resisted.

So I guess this is sort of an amalgamation of the two...maybe? I dunno... I'm a knife newb, but this is my idea of a nice knife. It's probably technically incorrect for about 50 reasons, but it was fun to make. Hope you like...

Rob - welcome to BF. I've enjoyed the pics you've posted on TimeZone. Looks like you're off to a great start in your "knifemaking" career. ;)

That is an excellent rendering. Another Photoshop warrior:)

That is a very cool design. It probably would not quite work the way it is configured but it could definitely be made to work. Let's see some more!:)

Welcome to the Forums! I like it a lot. Great job, R, be sure to post a pic of the real thing when you finish it!;) What is the TimeZone that Kelly mentioned? If it involves folks being creative like this, I'd be interested in checking it out.:)

Richard - www.timezone.com is the BladeForums of the watch world. Look out though, watches are every bit as addicting as knives, but much more expensive on average. :o As you can see, rkny has the magical touch with PhotoShop. His creations show up on TimeZone all the time. If I'm not mistaken, Rob is a moderator over there. He's quite the comedian as well. Check out some of his "funnies" at http://www.timezone.com/~rkny/tw/tw.html .

Hey, what would need to be overhauled to make this design work? Maybe he can make one on his own without too much trial and error. The only thing I notice is that the blade may not fit into the handle properly with the current placement of the pivot. If you're not going to try it on your own, check out Mr. Duncan's work, it's NICE!

Ahhhhh yes..."TimeZone" is worse than Las Vegas...good advice Senator!
