Anyone know any good quotes having to do with knives?

I couldn't find the exact quote, but...

The movie is "Revenge" with Kevin Costner. He's having an affair with a frined's wife. (His friend is a very powerful man in Mexico). He has him beaten within an inch of his life, and left for dead. He's found by a rather poor man, and is nursed back to health by the man's family. On departing, the man hands him a knife, and says:

"Take this knife. I made it myself. It's perfect for cutting the balls of your enemies."

The Riddle of Steel from Conan -

Fire and Wind come from the Sky, from the Gods of the Sky.
But your God is Crom, and he lives in the Earth.

Once Giants lived in the Earth, Conan,
and in the darkness of chaos, they fooled Crom,
and took from him the enigma of Steel.

Crom was angered and the Earth shook,
and Fire and Wind struck down these giants,
and threw their bodies onto the waters.

But in their rage,
the Gods forgot the secret of Steel
and left it on the battlefield.

And we who found it, are just men,
Not Gods, Not Giants, just men.

The Secret of Steel had always carried with it a mystery,
you must its secret Conan, you must learn its discipline,

for no one, on one on this earth can you trust,
not men, not women, not beasts,

*lifts sword*, this you can trust

Two from themovie Spartan.

1.
Nice knife, where did you get it?

Got it off an East German fellow.

That was nice of him, was it a gift?

No, as I recall he was rather reluctant to part with it.

2.
What do they have you teaching Sargeant?

Edged weapons sir, knife fighting.

You don't teach them knife fighting Sargeant, you teach them how to kill with a knife, that way when some son of a b***h comes along that's been taught knife fighting, they can send him straight to hell.

Quote from Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels [1998]:

Soap: "Also, I think knives are a good idea. Big, f***-off shiny ones. Ones that look like they could skin a crocodile. Knives are good, because they don't make any noise, and the less noise they make, the more likely we are to use them. S*** 'em right up. Makes it look like we're serious. Guns for show, knives for a pro."

Harry Callahan: When a naked man is chasing a woman through an alley with a butcher's knife and a hard-on, I figure he isn't out collecting for the Red Cross!

Raoul Duke: You can turn your back on a person, but, never turn your back on a drug. Especially when it's waving a razor-sharp hunting knife in your eye.

James Bond: I'll do anything for a woman with a knife

Léon: The rifle is the first weapon you learn how to use, because it lets you keep your distance from the client. The closer you get to being a pro, the closer you can get to the client. The knife, for example, is the last thing you learn

Lancelot: I am Lancelot of the Lake, from across the sea. And I have yet to find a King worthy of my sword

Excalibur is a great source for sword quotes! Try these ones:

Merlin: Show the sword! Behold! The Sword of Power! Excalibur! Forged when the world was young, and bird and beast and flower were one with man, and death was but a dream!

Merlin: He who draws the sword from the stone, he shall be king. Arthur, you're the one.

Arthur: Merlin! What have I done?
Merlin: You have broken what could not be broken! Now, hope is broken.
Arthur: My pride broke it. My rage broke it! This excellent knight, who fought with fairness and grace, was meant to win. I used Excalibur to change that verdict. I've lost, for all time. The ancient sword of my fathers, whose power was meant to unite all men... not to serve the vanity of a single man. I am... nothing.

Arthur: Perceval, take Excalibur. Find a pool of calm water. Throw the sword into it.

"Where I steal an idea I leave my knife". Michaelangelo. Not sure that I agree with the sentiment but at least the word knife is in there. ;)

Here is a quote from a real person, attributed to George Washington. Now, 226 years later, it's still hard to beat a good multi-blade slipjoint.

Historical Barlow website said:
A letter written by George Washington asking for replacement of a lost penknife has been discovered in the attic of an old Florence S.C., home. The one-page letter, dated October 7, 1779, was found by David Williamson January 6 while cleaning the attic of his father's 19th century house. It was authenticated by Dr. William Burns, director of the Florence County Museum. "I haven't decided what I'm going to do with it," Williamson said Saturday. There was no envelope with the letter when Williamson found it folded inside a book entitled, "A History of Nathaniel Greene."

I have lost and cannot tell how an old favourite penknife and am much distressed for want of one -- If you have any in your store please to send me one -- If you would be so good as to get me one immediately -- Perhaps you could furnish me with a knife with two blades. I should prefer this where choice can be had.

Found this one through a google search:

"At the root of many a woman's failure to become a great cook lies her failure to develop a workmanlike regard for knives".

Robert Farrar Capon

-----------------
A couple by García Lorca:

"Los cuchillos de oro se van solos al corazón, los de plata cortan el cuello como una brizna de yerba"

- "Knives made of gold go to the heart by themselves, those made of silver will cut the neck like a string of grass".

"Los otros cuchillos son blandos y se asustan de la sangre, los que nosostros vendemos son fríos, ¿ entiendes ?, entran buscando el sitio de mas calor y alli se paran"

- "Other knives are soft and afraid of blood, the ones that we sell are cold, do you understand ?, they go in searching for the warmest place and there they stop".

From Guy Clark's "The Randall Knife"
"If you've ever held a Randall knife
Then you know my father well
If a better blade was ever made
It was probably forged in hell"

Red in The Shawshank Redemption:
time can draw out like a blade!

Wlliam Holden in Bridge on the River Quai;
while he's making a stabbing motion a knife he's hollering, Kill himmmmmm, killl himmmmmmmmmm!!!

One of the best delivered lines I've ever heard in a movie!

In the Enforcer when the "too much linguini" cop gets stabbed, one of the cops on scene says; one of those special forces Randalls.

My favorite right here from Blade forums:

"Pointy end goes in first" - J. Fisk

"He's got a knife..."

"That's not a knife, THIS is a knife"

I bet everyone knows where that came from.

:D

"Two 'Wives'? Oh, I thought he meant two 'Knives'".
(Holding two knives)
"Hey, this *is* nice!"
