I'm heading north to Tulsa for Morial Day weekend - are there any good knife/gun shops up there or any shows on that weekend?
Thanks for any info.

Tulsa is pretty thin on knife stores. There is one at Utica Square called "The Gadget Company". They have a small but decent selection of knives. They do have a few customs and a few Randalls. Sometimes its luck of the draw as to whether they have much in or not.

Other than that, its mainly like everywhere else....Academy Sports and places like that.

Oh, almost forgot, there is a place on 47th and Memorial (or close by) called "Buck Knives and Stoves". It has been a while since I have been there so I would check and make sure it is still there. They had a nice selection of knives when I was there last (over a year ago). Unfortunately the prices were quite high...many well above MSRP.

Army Surplus at 9th and Memorial. Not the cleanest place in the world but the people are nice and helpful. Decent selection of knives from very nice all the way down to HSN junk. Prices range from OK to fairly high.

Its amazing how a city the size of Tulsa has so few knife shops...none really to write home about. When I want a knife store fix I drive over to Arkansas and go to AG Russell.

Hope that helps a little.

Not really any good knife shops left in Tulsa. There are gun/knife shows all the time, but not sure about that particular weekend. They small shows in Tulsa are pitiful and have more junk tables then knives/guns. The large show in Tulsa in April and October are the only ones worth the admission. I have been living in the OKC area for the better part of the past 6 years while going to college. I've only found one really good knife/gun shop there. Prices are good and service isn't too shabby either. The prices on most of their gun selection are very good. I picked up a stainless HK USP 9mm compact last year at a customer apprciation sale NIB for $540. You can check them out at www.outdooramericastore.com if you want to see them for yourself.

Oh, one more. Sports World on 58th and Lewis. Guns, knives, clothes and various hunting stuff. They dont have a huge selection of knives, but there are some nice ones. Its a pretty up-scale place as far as knife/gun shops go, and the prices reflect it.

Love Outdoor America here in OKC, though almost always crowded, so don't expect fast help(not a lack of help, they tend to have help at ever counter, just there are customers all there too). There is a knife shop on MacArthur now too, about 34th and Macarthur or so.

But yeah, not much in Tulsa or OKC, besides the Wannamacher show in tulsa.

Might give Savage trading in Mustang a look see. They have customs and prodos just not as big of a selection as Outdoor America.

Yeah I haven't found much here in Tulsa. The Gadget company has some pretty nice ones, a lot of customs. The Army Surplus stores have some stuff that you can get a feel for and then buy online lol :D . I just find all the crap I want here in town....get a feel of it and then purchase it online for a much lower price. Nothing much here to see.
