Knife Stores in Seattle area

Out on the east coast I have been to a few cutlery stores that actually had custom made and top of the line production knives in stock. Here in Seattle all I have seen are the mall/chain stores, they have some good stuff, but no real customs, and they are just way over priced. I also have been to the Pike pl. market store; they used to occasionally have something cool, but not any more.
I hope that maybe there is a place I just don’t know about in the greater Seattle area, a place that could give me the knife fix I need. Don’t get me wrong, the internet has been great. I can see all kinds of great knives, and find them at their best prices. But sometimes looking and seeing new stuff in person is just what I need.
Sadly, over the last few years, my career has made it impossible for me to make it to the good shows, (and yes my job is worth it). I gonna have to miss the Eugene OR show next week. Man that’s gonna hurt, but I’m working on a movie, and we will be filming on that weekend.
So do any of you know of any place I could get my fix without driving two hours down to Oregon? Hopefully there is a place I somehow don’t know about that is not very far away. Anyway, thanks for reading my post. -john

Across the lake in Bellvue Wade's Eastside guns used to have some quality knives, I worked there in the late nineties and they were carrying Spyderco, BM, CRK, CS and I believe MT also. I don't know what they have currently but they might be worth checking out, also bossibly Weapons Safety Inc also on that side of the lake.

up around 2100 1st Av there is a military surplus store that has an extensive selection of production knives (BM Spydie Kershaw CRKT Ontario Cold Steel), at high prices. Definitely better/broader selection than Excalibur at the mall or the Pike Place shop. But alas no customs, & no Wm Henry type gent's knives.

There used to be a knife shop located at the Pike Place Market. They were kind of pricey but had some nice looking knives when I was there last...many yrs. ago.

Good Luck

You'd think that with all the outdoorsmen we have in western Washington, there'd be some great knife stores but I haven't found any. The mall stores are WAY too expensive. The gun stores don't seem to carry much in the way of knives. The store at Pike's market had a good selection last time I was there, but no customs that I remember. I know there's a custom maker or two in Tacoma. So if you want custom, you could go direct to the source and get a first hand look before you order.

Thanks everyone. Chuck, I'll be going to Blade Gallery's showroom this weekend, thanks for the info. -john:)
