Hello everybody,

I got new watch that will be my main piece to wear during both work days and weekends. Its the Seiko SBDC051 on steel bracelet.

And my question is simple, do you know about a folding knife that would nicely suit the watch and together they would make nice edc kombo?

Thanks for any suggestions :)

If you’re only desk diving with that samurai, I’d go with something also classy in black and silver, like a carbon fibre inlay Sebenza.
Its not Samurai, I believe that this model has no nickname yet. Sebanza is great knife, the only problem is the price wich I could accept only if they made flipper version.

I should admint that Im looking more for flipper/thumbhole opening rather that thumbstud.

Sage in CF. It fits as just being a classy, solid, working guy's kinda knife, same as the Seiko.

Edit to add: The Chaparral for the same reasons, and maybe an even stronger recommendation due to HXP vs. S30v:

Japanese brand watch requires Japanese brand knife, no? You said okay to the thumb hole or flipper. So I think a Spydie is in order. And I agree with previous posters that carbon fiber is mandatory.

I'd personally go with the Spyderco Rino. Very cool and unique blade shape, not the all too common drop or clip point. Still classy though, even if not classic. It's got the carbon fiber looking body as well, and a nicely finished full flat grind. It also has both polished and brushed surfaces to match the watch, given the blade has a very clean and uniform looking brushed surfaces, while the locking mechanism has a smooth, almost polished look to it. Would really blend well with the watch as a combo. Both stand out as unique, yet can be dressed up or down to suit any occasion.

Or a Boker Kwaiken, carbon fiber also, classy. Or, and last thought here, one of those cool tanto flippers, because tanto is Japanese as well. I think it's made by TwoSun. They're known for being pretty spot on.

PS, nice watch! Always did love the SBDC line. And those hands are to die for.

PPS, Not your hands, the watches, you sick sick man you! Lol

You’re right! Its not a samurai, it’s that newer one, like the limited edition re-issue, but not quite. I wish there was a better name for it.

If you’re looking for classy, modern, and flipper, there’s ZT, or WE, or likely a lot of contenders. Sorry I’m of little help with modern flippers.

That's one of my favorite watches out there. I'd wear it with any of my Spydercos. It doesn't have to match

Thats what im doing now, SBDC051 on the wrist and Spyderco Tenacious in pocket. Surprisingly they match enough, so I dont have to hurry. But I still think that the watch would be better acompanied with higher quality knife. The watch came yesterday, and it absolutely rocks. I had it in my hands many times before. But with properly sized bracelet its something different.

Thanks all for the suggestions. Especially for the ZT, I like the ZT0452CF but I think that its bigger that I would like to. I was thinking something about at most 100grams or 4 OZ.

So far I like this Boos blades, buts as usual its out of stock :/

I am liking the new Lion Mah NUK with the moon glow liners and back spacer!!

Or one of these K2’s

Knives as men's jewelry and accessories....matching accessories. I would say anything silver and black, and made in Japan. But, not China. Chinese and Japanese accessories clash horribly, and other guys will talk about you at the party.

Not picking on the OP, only the modern techno office/cubical dweller mindset. It is a TOOL, and nobody worries about matching tools in a box or bag, once they start getting used.

You buy the the tool which does the job.

M mtngunr I don't disagree with the idea that it is a tool the fact stands that we have a large variety of knives with lots of aesthetic choice and as long as the tool isn't compromised why not match it when you can.
