Maybe I am putting myself up for some ridicule, but does anyone else sleep with their favorite knife under their pillow? If so, which one?

Actually I sleep with all of them under or around my pillow

Belly, welcome to the forums and don't worry there are a lot of folks that also sleep with steel, I use to have my Trailmaster stuck between the mattress and the box springs, just incase, but the wife says it makes it harder to make up the bed with the handle sticking out

So now I usually have several folders and the occasional fixed blade on a night stand near the bed, just to look at before dozing of, which I should be doing pretty soon!

You ain't alone!

Used to be a beretta under my pillow but I had to give it up when I came to Taiwan...

I used to keep a dagger (in the sheath) in my pillowcase (on the bottom, of course!), but now I just have 2 fixed blades and several folders (autos) within reaching distance, and if I get up I can reach two swords. I figure that should be good enough for anything I might need. Though if there is an earthquake one of those swords just might implant itself in my skull. Also have a flashlight, cigarettes, lighter, and ashtray right there.

2 knives within reach, but not under the pillow. When out and "on the land" usually wearing a neck knife and a big knife right at my hand. Yes you are a species of nut. So are we. Knife knuts. With good reason.

Hmmm, having a knife under my pillow might be messy as I have a waterbed. However, I have several knives with easy reach, as well as a few things that go BOOM!!!

Nah, but I do often sleep with a Spyderco Native clipped to my clothing, and sometimes I find a bayonet hiding under the comforter; I think maybe it sneaks into bed with me at night because it's afraid of the dark...

My daughter can climb in bed with us in the wee hours, so not an option. I do keep the Sebenza in the nightstand along with the glock and a flashlight, but she can't get to that.

under pillow is a bad idea - cause it has a tendency to shift it's place under all kinds of pleasant circumstances...

bed side post (in the drawer):

P-14 Para Ordnance. Three spare magazines.
5 d-cell Mag-Lite (doubles as a button)
CS military classic customized by Jake Evans
Dozier Neck knife (that I took off just before going to sleep)
any other knife that happened to be in the neighborhood...

also in this tactical post: regular and cell phone.

I've got one of those unscrewable steel billys, the Night Watchman. It's got an 18" blade inside, but it's much more "non-alert" useful in club configuration for banging nails & stuff. Under the bed, not the pillow.

Cold Steel Desperado under the mattress with the handle sticking out. On top of the radiator is a Ninja-to boken. right above my head is a sword rack with 6 ninja-to and 2 Katanas. There are also a large number of firearms readily available should the other stuff "not be enough"(Yeah right)

Used to have my Battle Mistress under my pillow. Now I have my Apogee clipped to my shorts. Whereas some people get pillow and blanket creases on their faces, I get an Apogee mark on my side.

Belly,
I sleep with several weapons under my pillow including my Ed Schott dagger which is my favorite knife. It is actually a second pillow that I dont sleep on but it rests against the headboard. I dont want to leave my weapons on top of my night table in case someone comes in the room while I am asleep, I dont want to arm them.

My husband who is not into either guns or knives has at times a hard time with my weapons being under the pillow.

I have a "love affair" with a Spydie Cricket.
All day, all night, but "closer to me" than under the pillow. Very practical.
I do not need anything stronger, my two dogs
(Westies) would alarm first then frighten then attack whatever comes too close.
Giving me ample time to get "strong arguments" (Glocks, e.g.).
Soft pillow to everybody.
