For those who ride a bicycle while carrying a knife, where do you carry it?
Is a folder clipped into your pocket, as it would be when walking, be safe from the risk of
somehow falling off from your leg movement?
Or it it worth getting a small belt sheath?

Depends.. are you all decked out in spandex hardcore road cycling..

..or are you leisurely pedaling a cruiser around with streamers on the handlebars and a little bell to ring?

I’ve never carried a knife on my road bike but I do clip a Bugout to the left shoulder strap of my Camelbak when mountain biking. I guess I feel I’m more likely to need a knife in the woods.

Cheers,
Mac

If you’re riding on the street, and wearing normal shorts, don’t worry about it much, as long as the clip has decent retention…
As for mountain biking, idk, but can imagine it falling out of your pocket a bit easier, with all the bumps, etc

This seems like a perfect candidate for every YouTubers favorite clip: the all mighty “3D milled” clip, like on the Socom
Bravo or 0804CF. Impossible to get into your pocket, also impossible to fall out of the pocket

What kind of riding are you doing?
^ This would be good to know. And what your main reason/s for carrying while riding are - do you just want to have a small utility blade with you? Are you concerned about self-defense in the places you ride? Are you touring and camping? A little more detail would help.

I don't bike much so I'm not sure if this will help, but I figured I'd share anyway just in case it can be of use to someone. I've found a shirt that works really well for me while kayaking. It's an undershirt made by 5.11, that is intended to be used as a "holster shirt". I picked it up along the way somewhere, never used it for concealed carry, and it sat in the back of a drawer until one day I got the idea to use it to hold my phone while kayaking. Turns out it works perfectly for that, and I now wear it whenever I'm kayaking, with my phone in the right pocket and my knife clipped in the left (it sticks out but I don't mind because of the ease of access). It doesn't look like I'm wearing some kind of tactical shirt either, put in the context of wearing board shorts and water shoes it just looks like a rash guard with pockets.

I’ve zip tied the sheath for a fixed blade to the frame of my mountain bike, you just gotta make sure the knifes not gonna come out while your jump off a cliff.

Spyderco salt 2 with a deep carry lynch clip, worn in the waistband.

If I'm wearing clothes, I have one of these on my too.
