knifecenter beats the price?

I have never tried for a price match but am thinking about purchasing from them. I never bought from them before. How is their reputation?
 
Knifecenter does a lot of business and they are prompt.
They aren't the cheapest by any means, I've always found about anything they have at a better price elsewhere.
 
I've purchased several knives from them. Fast shipping, good communication, reasonable price. Good company.
 
I've never tried for a price match either, but have had only the best of service when I have ordered from them.

i sent them an email, ill post as soon as i get a reply from them.
Benchmade says they are a premium dealer.
 
i got an email now saying they dont even do price matching.
But this is what they put on their website

"The Knife Center is an official Benchmade Knife dealer. You can shop with us first for all Benchmade knives and products and depend on us to have new items early. We cannot advertise our low prices for standard items and so please call us if you need pricing (or add item to your shopping cart- you can remove it later). Also, bring any competitor's price to us and we will try to match it."

Knife Center is a stand up company. They have never and I mean never let me down. They have accepted returns for knives I just decided I did not like after seeing them. If you do your part and return NIB. One of the reasons they may be more expensive on items is because when you place your order it is rock solid delivered and with a 30 day money back guarantee. Their Spydercos are CHEAPER than most. Their inventory is massive and I order stuff that's not in stock and they have gotten it within 1 week EVERY time. If you call them you will resolve any problems you have.

This applies to NGK & Knifeworks. 100% satisfied.

The reason is partially to my credit as well. Know what you are buying. Know their policies. CALL them with questions. You posted this thread before you confirmed they price match or not and we still don’t know what it is you are talking about. Benchmade price matching is different than other knives. Benchmades policy BTW. Know the facts, be a courteous consumer and they will do their part. 99.9% of the time. Nothing is absolute.

No I do not work for them, know anyone or have any connection other than then a 100% satisfied customer. Because you have to act like a grown up if you want to be treated like one.

So where’s this email?

Looks to me like they should remove that little snippet from their website. It does seem to be inconsistent with their actual policy.
 
The price match deal is only shown on Benchmade knives. And, not to be a stickler, it says they will try to match the price (not saying they will definitely match it). But you're right, from the sound of it they don't do price matching at all, you should bring it up to them in the e-mail that they have that snippet posted about the price matching. That lil blurb was probably posted by accident.

Why start this thread in FEEDBACK before receiving a reply from KCI. Was SchneiderMan that anxious about the purchase or did he have an axe to grind. Clearly designed to trash them for whatever reasons he has.

The post was a legitimate question in general. He just forgot to mention the fact that he is waiting for a reply . That would have changed the tone of the entire thread.

Was this his bargaining chip with KCI?

That’s so weak.

I am surprised at the response they gave him. It did seem a bit short considering the posted policy they had. I saw that policy at KCI months ago but never tried it. If I found it cheaper somewhere else I would get it there. Still no excuse for that reply.
 
He said he sent an email the day after he started the thread. Plenty of people ask about people/shops here without contacting them first. There is no requirement to contact a party before inquiring about them elsewhere.

This place is at the top of my list!

I ordered from them this past Sunday night and the package arrived today. The only other way it could have come faster is if I had it sent overnight.

They will get more business from me.
