I am relocating to the Dallas area, may live in Little Elm, Colony, Frisco, area but not sure. The new job will be in Carrolton. I will be out of the game for a while until I get relocated and set up. I will be starting the 22nd, but will be a bit getting completely relocated. Would like to know if there are any knifemakers in that area and possibly meet talk knives. One of my favorite subjects of course.

Quite a few in the DFW area. Tony Baker is in Allen, and so is Ram Maramba. Jerry Moen is down in Dallas. Darrell Ralph is out in Forney. That's just off the top of my head. Look up the Texas Knifemakers Guild on Facebook.

DFW is in Region 2 of the "under construction" Texas Knifemakers Guild. We are off to a pretty good start with about 200 people on the list. Things will start getting official next year. We had a regional meeting at the Grapevine Blacksmith Shop a couple weekends ago and the turnout was good. Makers brought knives for a show & tell, and a lot of guys used a coal forge for the first time. Facebook is definitely the best way to follow the TKG. I am about 20 minutes northwest of Denton. Give me a shout when you get some time; you're welcome to come by and talk knives.

Thanks guys.

Bob I will definitely get in touch with you sometime.

Also very interested in the TKG.

I packed some of my shop stuff this weekend and kinda got bummed, but I will have a better set in a few months so it's all good.

Welcome to Texas. There's plenty of great makers here. As others have said, make sure you check out the Texas Knifemakers Guild page on facebook.
