I came across a website called crazy crow and it had some knives and I was wondering how good the quality was on the Bowie knives and skinner knives if anyone has bought some knives from them could you tell me how well they are made

I had not heard of them until now.

A quick scan of their website indicates that their pre-made knives are probably Chinese in origin based on their (cheap) cost.

Also, many of their knives do not even list the steel type used.

I would not be buying anything there, based on the (quick) once-over I gave to a few of their offerings.

They could be Chinese, but also Pakistani.
They are reenactment knives, mostly for looks. On the other hand they are likely useable as fighting knives, but I would not expect the same performance as an Ontario, classic Ka-Bar, Becker, Cold Steel or ESEE, which would be more useful for camping and survival.
If you like them, buy one. I think many of the old knives they are modeled after have been made with poorer steel and heat treatment.
Don’t expect these to be one-does it-all type super knives and they should be fine for moderately heavy use typical knife use (no batoning or heavy chopping). For that, you should get a hawk or better yet, a camping hatchet.
If you want a period-looking bowie with good to great steel and proper heat treatment, get a Cold Steel bowie.

I’m not going to get a Bowie then but what do you think of the green river skinner

Again, all their knives appear to be cheaply made offshore. I doubt any one model is better than another. Mystery steel and unknown heat treatment immediately disqualifies any of their offerings (for me).

If the Green River knives are the real thing they are pretty decent, still made in the USA. The rest is crap, made in
India or Pakistan.

I’ve dealt with Crazy Crow alooong time. Good folks.
A lot of there things are for show, a lot is the real deal.
I made a Green River knife years ago, it is a very nice knife. Crazy sharp, edge holds well.
However, if you want Guccisteel, I’d look elsewhere.
