Hey guys - we took a trip to spain last month and of course I had to come home with several Spain-made knives. I am going to be doing a short vid series on them, and would love it if you took a look. They are all traditionals, and there are some interesting finds for sure.

Quick look at a Cuchilleria or cutlery store display shelf. How could I not come back with new additions??

Here is the first video in the series. I plan to get the rest out over the next 2 weeks.

I really enjoyed that Jeff, nice work  I'm glad you had a great trip and saw a bit of Catalunya, I've spent quite a bit of time over there in the past, and have some great friends there :) I have a couple of Pallares knives, but they have the cheap plastic handles they do, kind of ugly, nowhere near as nice as yours. The first knife of that style I got was an Aitor Castor, and I thought it looked kind of odd, but what a great user it turned out to be :) Looking forward to watching your other vids

PS Your table is a heck of a lot tidier than mine! :D

Haha! It is actually my wife's writing desk. I normally try to film outside as you cant beat natural sunlight, but my schedule is so crazy lately that it gets less and less feasible to film outside. Thank you for watching.

Very cool, thanks for taking the time to put this together. Looking forward to future posts.

The knife indeed looks very useful with its thinly ground, leaf shaped blade. Nice review:thumbsup:

Nice video description of the Spanish knife, and it sounded like a wonderful vacation.

Great stuff! I visited Barcelona in January and picked up an ebony-handled, carbon steel Palares. Super knife, and it's really cool to tote such a functional piece of Catalonian (is that the right word?) culture!

Jeff, Thanks for letting us know about the Salamandra knives. I have an interest in the one in African Blackwood, 14C28N steel. Can you post the model number of that one please? Also, any U.S. distributors? Thanks.

I will check the box when I get home, but not sure if there was a model number on it or not. As far as distributors go, your google is a good as mine! I certainly found a few places selling them but it looks like they are European so shipping could get pricey. It is a pretty neat little folder, so good luck with your searching!
