Does anybody have photos or info on the knives used by the people in this series? particularly Tom, Martha (who seems to use a buck 119), the Youren Bros,
and Jake. The shots where they use their knives move so fast I cant ID them.

I haven't seen the show.
"Modern" Mountain Man, or Histrorical, 1400's ~ 1800's?

If one is using a Buck 119, must be modern wannabe's.

Modern . Actual people living in remote areas. The one using a buck is def no wannabe. She is the meat hunter for her village in Alaska

I don't watch that series myself but these days the showrunner or network will have a website dedicated to it that expands on the details you don't see on TV.

Nothing like spouting off BS whilst admitting having no idea about the subject!

I personally find Eustace and Tom to be the most entertaining to watch and Eustace always has 3+ knives going on his belt.n in his.pocket!!!

So, you haven't seen the show, and just arbitrarily judge the folks who are on it?

Huh, ok then.

Same, Tom is the Man. We need to get caught up, we're a few seasons behind at this point.

Unless Tom is way younger than he looks, it's amazing that he can maintain that level of physical activity on a daily basis. What he does in an hour would put me out of commission for a week.

Like all "Reality" shows, it's completely fabricated. Unk. about the knives, but most of them have side businesses, probably track them down via email, etc?

They also have much more money than they act like, on all these type shows. After all they're paid for the shows.

This is true. In any case, I do enjoy this show more than I did that show "Life Below Zero", that's for sure.

When they’re dealing with wild animals and out in the wilderness they can’t always catch the right shot so that’s the reason for the setup and canned shots. It might not be prudent for us outdoorsmen to do that but we aren’t making a television show either. I don’t think I would want to try filming like they do. I can imagine there’s a lot they endure to tag along to film and still keep from spooking the game.
Now the homested and camp events are staged and sometimes I have to laugh at the way they try to dramatize the scene. Lol

Ive seen a few Buck knives but haven’t kept a log of which models but I remember seeing a 105 pathfinder.

Tom and Marty are legit ... Marty was involved on some forums at one point... Had some cool info on snow machines and trapping. Tom lives a few hours away from me up in the Yak and comes down into town every once in a while.

In the latest episode, Josh is skinning and quaetering a deer with a knife that looks like a drop point cleaver. hard to get a good look at it, tho
