I was chatting with randucci randucci about knives & he showed me one of the biggest piles of INFI I had ever seen. I was in pure awe.

Turns out they were idahoskunk idahoskunk s. I was drooling… and randucci said he’d put me in contact with Mrs Skunk Mrs Skunk . Skunk was ready to maybe sell a few. We got to grunting back & forth over prices… boy she’s on it! Randucci & Cobalt Cobalt helped out too. It was quite an effort!

Skunk broke through the hog fence and put an end to the haggling. He said, “Fill up your money truck, back it up and dump it right here.” After a cash-out refi on my house… I was headed off to Idaho.

I get to Skunkville and it was a real pleasure to pow wow at the Skunk’s with everybody. Scott, Vickie, Cobalt, Rene, Tim, Leslie and an d one of my best friends living in Idaho, Keith.

Scott took us on a flight via his flight simulator, up to an old lodge’s landing strip in the mountains. And yeah, we crashed… we’re all dead😆

This is an older pic… there’s some Ed Fowler knives I couldn’t wrestle away… and I suspect Cobalt Cobalt made off with at least one BM.🤣

There’s some amazing blades in there. Back in the Busse Combat Store days… Skunk would lay out shipments and get his magnifying glass out. Performing the ultimate cherry pick!!… keeping the absolute gems of the various models. He’s very picky and would notice the smallest details… nicer rivets, handle flushness, grind, etc.

They’re all real beauties!

Some of the really special ones…
Pink Apple & Sweet Heart from Vickie.

I’ll post more when I get home.

There’s one more… The Mother of All Busse. 15” blade, very rare brass guard, 0.374” thick. It was a custom request/commission by a man in Reno. He had sent in drawings to go by. The fella passed away… and Jerry stopped in at the widow’s house on trip… and ended up purchasing it back from her. Then he sold it to Skunk.
It’s an epic beast!

Yes!… and thank you!

We had just finished up having a knife wrapping party & putting knives in some bins. We made our way near the entry and Skunk pops out of his armory with three more beautiful blades in some really nice sheaths. He slowly extends them out toward me. I’m thinking, “Oh my gosh, is he giving these to me?” I probably gave him some puppy dog look… and he says, “What? I’m not giving these to you… but you can look at them… they’re really beautiful ones.” Doh, he got me sooo good!
The three…
LCABS giraffe bone, Snakeskin ABA LE and a FFG Meaner Street w/spalted maple

After hangin’ with everybody at the Skunk’s and surviving the plane crash… we all went for some tasty Mexican food over in Sky (El Mariachi Loco).

We brought the MOAB along for good measure & it served as a table centerpiece👍🏼… but the company I was in was the real treasure.🤘🏼

Cobalt is the eldest HOG of the group… therefore dubbed to perform HOG induction.

I thought Cobalt was going to cut my ear off!
Then he proceeded to place the induction tag over my head.

Yowzaaa!!!

Now everyone can see why simply adding a "G" to your location tells the story! Idaho + G = I Da Hog (Skunk made that one up years ago!!! )

Gosh darn HOGs drinking without me!!!!

Well, to be honest, I was drinking. . . just not there in the mix of all that INFI and Bacon!!!

You all look great and I really wish that I could've been there!

Awesome!

Congrats to Nuker for scoring a ton of INFI from Skunk's prized collection!

Watching Cobalt do the induction made me wonder if the available napkins would have been enough to cover that severed ear!

Let's Drink!

Jerry

Here is the shot where nuker wasn't sure if he was going to have any ears left. I was two giant margaritas deep into knighthood. He certainly had a worried look on his face :D
